Maybe Caitlin can sort out housing and money issues etc.

Getupat8amnow · 01/12/2023 21:11

The quads were not actually in the scene of the Christmas dinner, if you look carefully they are playing with each other in front of a green screen and the Christmas dinner scene has been put on the green screen to make it look like the quads were at the dinner.

Yes that would explain a lot

nildesparandum · 01/12/2023 23:19

Gemma is not the only one whose mouth hangs open at the end of every sentence.
Tyrone's and Craig's does too.
The whole three of them must be the most gormless soap characters ever.

zanahoria · 01/12/2023 23:22

Shona was well out of order. It was not so long ago she was nicking wallets herself.

and why was Bernie above suspicion?

she is literally in court tomorrow for selling stolen goods.

Think he always has. So annoying

If the till is out the first thing to do is check the drawer for anything tucked away. The notes were probably to take to the bank for a float. Although nobody goes to the bank apart from setting up business loans. Roy will be very cross.
Did we have a previous thing where a mother had to have supervision...abi? Wendy Crosier will sort things.

Summermeadowflowers · 02/12/2023 07:22

I wonder what the long term plan is, though? Are Gemma and chesney going to be written out or is it going to be that they just stay on the street occasionally mentioning that they need to visit the quads, then one or more quads returns home aged 18?

Clawdy · 02/12/2023 08:15

Can't see them writing out Gemma and Chesney, though I wish they would. And the quads going into permanent care sounds a bit unlikely too. Pity they ever came up with such a ridiculous storyline, why on earth didn't they make it a twins story!

ceecee32 · 02/12/2023 08:37

Where is Roy, have I missed a bit ?

Summermeadowflowers · 02/12/2023 08:49

I suppose it’s possible Gemma could flee the country with the quads - wasn’t that how Claire Peacock was written out?

Hellendegenerate · 02/12/2023 09:02

@Getupat8amnow

That green screen thing. I hadn't noticed but rewound for another look and yes I think you're right.

Honeyroar · 02/12/2023 09:06

That was the smallest dining table ever for five adults and five children to have Xmas dinner on.
(didn’t take much from that episode, did I!!)

Itham · 02/12/2023 09:16

Not surprised we didn't see the actual dinner, especially as they all sat on one side of the teeny, tiny table. Soap tables and sofas are always too small for filming reasons obviously, but it really niggles me.

Itham · 01/12/2023 09:11

Gemma's make up is obviously meant to look terrible and it does. The orange foundation that ends in a wobbly line around her jaw is mesmerising.

It was particularly bad last night wasn't it. I can't believe that Daisy hasn't whipped out her beauty blender when she was working in the Rovers with Gemma.

JewelleryCat · 02/12/2023 10:49

I didn’t watch last night, watched something else instead. Is it worth me watching on catch up to see what the social worker is going to do or shall I wait until Monday?

It's worth watching just to see Gemma's foundation tide mark 😁

And Dev dressed as an elf.

StockpotSoup · 02/12/2023 15:33

Is Orange Gob not being allowed to be alone with the kids going to be catalyst for Bernie avoiding jail? Some horribly unrealistic leniency plea because she’s needed at home?

I hope Sarge is going to turn out to have a heart of gold under his gruff exterior. I can’t handle Porkpie being a mean old git.

Itham · 02/12/2023 15:49

Three, clumpy black eyelashes on each eye finishes the look off nicely.

Gemma's make up was much more subtle when she was out with the Newton and Ridley bloke.

Freysimo · 02/12/2023 17:56

Does anyone else think the writers have made Bailey grandad a stereotypical West Indian? Honestly, it's embarrassing.

Yes, it really is. Like when Dev puts on an Indian accent in the company of visiting relatives.

Does anyone remember him in the sitcom Desmond's which was set in a barbershop in Peckham? I loved that show.

greengreengrass25 · 02/12/2023 19:28

Yes was he Pork Pie or something
