I quite like Andrew and JJ too. I like JJ's overacting 😆 he's always scared! It was nice to see him smile today when teasing Cara!

The other boy Dex could've swapped the samples! He was worried about the family changing and no one getting on so might do something to make everything go back to normal (that would be the idea anyway)

That is such a good plot twist!

Are JJ and Dex supposed to be biological brothers - different mother but same donor father? Is that why Dex is so bothered about the idea of JJ having Andrew as a father instead?
If so I agree with the previous poster, it would be a good plot twist if he messed with the DNA samples.
Then I could imagine a future storyline whereby JJ is sick and needs an organ or bone marrow donor to save his life and Dex then has to speak up about what he did so that JJ's life can be saved.
(Neighbours script department, please employ me!)

Excellent. Although would be better if it's Andrew that needs a donor and we then find out that Sadie isn't a match or his daughter at all and Wendy needs to gobble up some more humble pie/chicken curry!

Catching up with yesterday's episode, I officially don't like Nell's acting... Her head wobble, her eye fluttering... She looks in pain.

Back to the JJ DNA speculation, I can imagine Dex switching the test to "save the family"

But what could possibly be written in the diary to make Andrew think he is the dad after all.

Could maybe be that she only gave Cara half the sample and shared the other half with her friend Lizzie.

Then we’d have the whole “tracking down Lizzie” story.

Or maybe she somehow discovered that Andrew was infertile (someone who randomly has sperm samples lying around may also have access to a microscope) and so Sadie is not his. Explains why no second child.

Just watched today’s. Looks v exciting! What is Mel going to say. What happened 2 years ago?!

I like the Dex swapping idea. I feel like these missing pages are a key to something though.

I think Nell looks cold all the time 😂

I also think Eden is the second coming. Not really a bad guy but sent by god to heal all the neighbours’ pain. Reuniting Nell and Mel, making Mac ready to move on, making Holly look for better men. The only answer is that he is Jesus.

I think Mel had to leave Toadie and the kids coz horrible Eden ( who I reckon must be a step son of hers) was threatening her and her new step family out of jealousy. So she left to protect them, and her talk in the letter of being a bad step mum was in relation to how she brought up Eden. Maybe she thinks she's the reason he became evil and didn't want the same to happen to Nell and Hugo or something. Maybe madam zelga told her something bad would happen if she stayed and she couldn't put them through it. Or maybe Eden was just threatening to hurt the fish family if she stayed with them.

Toadie will obvs realise he still loves her.

And then Paul will see how admitting the truth was the better option and can tell Therese he only left her also for her own good coz he loves her so much. Still haven't worked out what the reason can be for that yet, but it will definitely be something altruistic.

Although when they started talking about things feeling 'off' in the whole neighbourhood, I really did think it was going to have all been a dream....!

Are Dex and JJ supposed to be the same age with their mums pregnant at the same time?

Im loving all the different plot ideas.

I wondered that about dc and JJ. But didnt remi say she was doing her training and it was stressful times.

Noticed that toadie said JJ was year 10.. of thats same as U.K. isn’t that age 15 max?

Aus yr 10 is 15-16 so he's 16, sample used 17 years ago.

I think Other One is meant to be younger cos of Toadies comment about school teachers so same age as Nell

I reckon Eden is Mel’s son - a secret son she gave up for adoption. Does anyone know how old he is? I wonder if Mel was on the show then.. Would be funny if he was Paul’s son after he and Mel had a secret fling. And then Eden came looking for his parents and threatening them and their families as pp said so Paul left Therese and Mel left Toadie. I’ve got a feeling it’ll have something to do with Reece’s sister too and Reece will find him through Eden, wrapping up all the current mysteries, apart from the diary one, with this storyline. Although maybe the diary mystery will get wrapped up in this storyline somehow too..

I'm just pondering today on Neighbours' approach to donor conception. This week we had Andrew, who was already married with a child and apparently trying to conceive again with his wife, but then on a whim, on a night out, gives a sperm deposit to a friend because "he knew how much she wanted a baby".
A couple of years ago, David and Aaron really wanted to be parents. So Nicolette, their housemate who they've known maximum a couple of months pipes up that she will have a baby for them and oh, by coincidence, she is ovulating that day, so off they go with the turkey baster to conceive in the bathroom.
Seems that they don't give it much thought on Ramsay Street!

I would also like to know how Andrew’s friend kept it so fresh to hand it about. Doesn’t it have to be kept at a certain temperature?

Yes as someone who had to take their husbands sample to hospital for checks, there were rules about how long it could be out and what temperature it was kept out. Certainly not whacked into a cup in a loo and handed over to a mate to turkey baste themselves with.

Is it me or does JJ look like Paul?

Not as much as Byron looks like Mike.

I think JJ looks like Ryder from Home and Away.

I hope JJ is really Andrew's son because I feel like we've wasted a storyline

I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees the Byron/Mike similarities! that’s not going to be another secret dad storyline is it?
