Well that was a complete riot, I've never been to the Davis cup, only ever done Wimbledon, didn't realise the Davis Cup is tennis with a rock concert thrown in as well. I was meant to be going with a friend but she had to pull out so I took DD instead.... I was worried she might be bored but how wrong was I? She was still singing 7 nation army on the train home at 10pm wrapped in the union flag we took with us
I think she may still be wrapped in the flag in bed right now
Andy's interview was heartbreaking, I've never really been keen on him but he now has a very special place in my heart
For anyone going over the weekend, things seem a lot better organised today than it has been reported during the week. Hardly any queues for food and drink. They don't let you take anything in but there were water coolers to refill water bottles. The only time we had to queue a bit was for the ladies at the end of a very long set, I think everyone had been hanging on for the end of it but as soon as we joined the queue staff directed us to other loos with a shorter queue.
Food is limited in the arena, basically hot dogs, nachos, crisps and sweets so we popped out of the arena at the start of the second and third matches, first time to the fan village by urbis to get DD a lemonade and a crepe then the second time we nipped to printworks for dinner, there's the usual chains like wagamama, frankie and bennies, nandos etc so we had a swift meal and whizzed back to the arena.
Lastly, if you are going over the weekend, I am soo jealous! I very nearly bought tickets for Sunday while we were there and now I've just looked and it's sold out
