Just seen that Ben won against Tiafoe - wow!

I was watching some od the Ben/Bigfoe match when when I woke up. Some massive hitting going on.
I fell asleep and really expected Tiafoe to have taken it to 5 sets, I am very pleaed for Ben though.
It would be some story if Coco and Ben both won. Can't really see it happening, but you never know. Coco's chances are better than Ben's ,given the competiton left.

Fizzy I gave up on the Djok match after 5 minutes but am a bit tempted to check my recordings to see the singing. But then again, maybe it will give me nightmares.
He is really is a twerp. It must be his worst nightmare - finally, Fed retires, Rafa is out of the picture - and still he's playing second fiddle in the popularity stakes to pretty much everyone a 20 year old Spaniard.

Looking forward to the Daniil/Andrey match later- if I can stay awake for it

Yes he is a twerp Raahh - he probably thought oh everyone liked it when Carlos sang so I’ll do it but with Carlos it’s natural but with Djok it’s so false!

Not sure how Ben will fare against him but hopefully he’ll give it a good go and will definitely have the crowd behind him

Djok singing was even more embarrassing than I thought it would be. And he seems to be growing Vulcan ears. He's always had odd features odd ears, but they seem pointier.

I cannot seem to watch much of it live as I value my sleep. Perhaps I should have paid for sky upgrades? Too late now obvs 🙄What’s the best way around, please?

If you have Sky Tennis they are showing a replay of Tiafoe/Shelton at the moment. I don't know about Now TV. Otherwise you just have to stay up @WhereShallWeGo !

Thank you Jane. We do have Sky but not Sky Sport unfortunately. Might have to turn nocturnal sometimes as you suggest.

Unfortunately it seems that the matches we want to see most are the night session matches!

It’s been very hot here all week - just as the schools go back - we go away on Friday so I’m trying to clean the house, get laundry done and think about packing (and watch tennis and maybe do some work ) but it’s too hot!

On the Tennis podcast Catherine said that there were (unconfirmed) rumours that Rafa has been practising and was possibly looking to come back for the Davis Cup finals in November

I’m trying not to get too excited but a Team event would maybe be slightly less pressure for him - eek!

I would love Rafa to come back soon- and I agree Davis Cup is possibly less pressure (maybe he can just play a 'dead' rubber, if Spain are ahead. Fulfils his 'team' obligation for the Olympics, but won't affect results. ).
