Now watching last night's episode.

Yep, the chatting between control and the crews is so scripted it's spoiling it,

I used to love these programmes but unfortunately my experience of the ambulance service and NHS this year has made me so cynical and I find them difficult to watch now. The cringy chats have really taken away from what once was a brilliant programme.

I've just watched the latest episode.
Question. When there's a focus on a particular phone call staff seem to stop and watch and listen rather than continue working. Is that really the case or a set up for tv?

It really depends. If you're on the phone or dispatching then no, but you might if you're not on the phone or you're a supervisor/advanced paramedic etc
When you've finished your own call you might say you ok/how did it end up/did the crew get there?

If you type something like plane crash in as a job, people come running to your desk!

God this was a sad episode what with the boy taking an overdose and the man dying so young

Only the older man with a happy ending.

And the hoax call 😳

@Shadypaws23 oh ok. Can everyone see the jobs typed up?
What I love is the camaraderie between the staff at the centre towards each other, and the paramedics sharing an ambulance. I could never do either job. Takes a special sort of person.

I was really shocked to see at the end that Dean died. The poor lad, he was so young.

@Elderflower14 yep I've just watched it too. Very moving the young paramedic going to the lady with cancer whilst her mum is going through it. Cried along with her.
Also the cardiac arrest patient. Emotional watch tonight. I take my hat off to the paramedics.
