LOVE Seema, she takes the place of Samantha perfectly. Love LTW. Niya is a nothing character and easily forgotten about.

The Samantha cameo was dreadful, as was the Sam Smith one!

I've always adored Charlotte. Miranda's character changes too much. Bring back strong willed, tough love, lady boss Miranda... and no more orgasm scenes please!!

Also think Aiden maligning Cathy’s parenting really out of order. Looking at timelines, SATC2 movie was approx. 7 years after the end of the TV series. This, when Aiden was attempting to commit adulatory with Carrie whilst buying rugs in Abu Dhabi, Cathy would have been at home with 7 year old Tate, 4 year old Middle Kid and 1 year old Wyatt. Perhaps he had his turn travelling the world while the kids were young, and then Cathy took her turn when they were older, after Aiden sold his business. He just made her sound like she didn’t give a shit for them.

Hard agree, in every possible way. Looks amazing, wears an outfit like no one else, by far the best actor of the four, although Cynthia Nixon has her moments too. I'm going to see her on stage early next year and I can't wait!

You know what? I almost wish a third season hadn’t been confirmed, I think that was a good ending.

I loved the return of Samantha. Yes it was insane, clearly shoehorned in and odd that she would make a return to say goodbye to an apartment but not return when Big died. But the instant KC appeared on screen it felt like being welcomed by a warm hug. I couldn’t help but smile.

charlotte was awesome - loved her rant at Harry.

mirandas fashion is phenomenal - that red dress at the end was exceptional.

also LOVED the dress Carrie wore in the new house - but isn’t that going to be too big for her?

as for Aiden. fFS come on. No one asks someone to wait five years for them unless they go to prison! That was insane. I can’t believe Carrie would be ok with that. Even Big didn’t ask her to do that and he was the master of making her feel codependent on him. I wonder how that will carry on next season - will he return or will she be waiting around for him?

Loved her dress though.

Not keen on the Samantha appearance, I just thought she was missing some of her vigour and outrageousness. Her voice was also more muted than she was in the series, it all sounded a bit flat.

Loved the ending and how it seemed very similar in style to the last scenes of SATC.

Love Miranda 1.0 coming back. Love that her and Steve have found a mutual ground.

Love Charlotte's mental load rant, think it was better than America farerras in Barbie. And her and Harry trying to set the phone up. Love them as a couple.

Hated the going round the table thing but guess it's very reminiscent of Thanksgiving round the table stuff they do in America.

Think we'll see more of Che in S3 now they've admitted they are changing but don't know who they are yet so I'm sure we'll see some sort of reincarnation.

I like Nya and wish we could see more of her and the other characters. Love that she got together with toussaint (although he'll always be Warwick brown to me) especially as she put so much effort into making that souffle on V day and now she's bagged herself a Michelin star chef.

I can't care about Seema's relationship because most of it has happened off screen. Seems like they had sex in the rental apartment, she told him she loved him and now they're supposedly in a committed long term relationship.

LOVE that there were no bloody kids in this episode (except brief but thankfully silent shot of Brady).

Then bellowed “You broke my heart!!!” and scared the cat.

Also as much as I loved the Charlotte rant, I was also thinking “Oh fuck off you haven’t worked in 20 years, you only have 2 kids who are now teenagers and at one point you had a nanny and you’re mega rich - you are not the person to whine about the mental load.”

Just watched and haven’t read the thread yet, sorry - was anyone else shouting at Carrie to shut the fucking door at the beginning way before the kitty nearly escaped???!! One of my cats is in hospital tonight after an accident so may have been projecting though….

I thought Miranda had actually changed outfits and was really confused, that coat did not go with that dress at all!

Overall, started the season hating it but loved it towards the end. Very pleased there is a Season 3.

There was a fair amount of side boob. I'm not sure if I was hallucinating, but it seemed at one point Aiden was cupping them politely.

I found this mega cringe. The wait 5 years for me but then have sex with me and see you in 5 years was just ludicrous. Nobody would behave like that. If he still supposedly wants to be with her he'd just ask her to go and visit him for a bit. So stupid. And 'my 17y old and my 20y old still need me?' Come on! They'd be heading off to college or work. This silly plot twist ruined what had been an ok season for me

The same with Seema. As if she could t have gone to Cairo for a couple of months! She went to Greece! Or him come back a couple of times. Ludicrous. People in relationships don't behave like that.

For anyone that's unaware, not only did KC refuse to film with the 3 ladies, she wouldn't even listen to SJP's voice. They did not film that scene 'together' it was just Kim. Some heavy shit must have gone down for it to end like that between the 4 of them.

That explains why it felt so disconnected. I
assume when actors film phone calls usually, they are actually riffing off each other a little!
