Haven't watched final episode yet but get rid of Aidan - Big was Carries love , Aidan is bloody nightmare - if she can't buy a place to be near him then give up now - it's doomed !

I quite enjoyed this episode but some parts are just so silly.

Aiden asking carrie to wait 5 years is unrealistic and unreasonable. Surely Wyatt would be spending time with his mum so aiden would be able to go to NYC or Carrie could go to him?

Lisette getting excited about Carrie leaving her bras?? Very childish!

I did forget that Miranda has stopped drinking and was thinking she would make a tit of herself in the BBC interview but I'm glad it went well, I'm glad she seems to finding her old self again. Joy seems nice and a good match for Miranda if that's the way it's heading rather than selfish Che who is awful still, hopefully Toby whisks her way forever.

I have started watching SATC all over again, still on season 1 so I'm kinda looking forward to watching AJLT all over again too, didn't think I'd be saying that!

OK I clearly have too much time to think about these things but did anyone notice that in the Carrie/Aidan sex scenes at the end, SJP was topless. It was the first time to my knowledge that she has ever allowed herself to be filmed without a bra, negligee etc. I think it was meant to symbolise a new sense of freedom, of letting go of expectations, of really coming into herself, with or without a man. Or something! I am way over-thinking this aren't I? 🤣

Yes I noticed that too. She's always had a no nudity clause as far as I know and as Carrie has always worn bras in bed. Maybe she knows JC so well and is so comfortable with him that she decided to make an exception 🤷🏻

I did also notice that, @theleafandnotthetree , I thought she had had it written into her contract that she didn't have to do topless work. Unfortunately then the scene moved rapidly on to a close-up of Aidan's arse, he should definitely have it written into his contract that he doesn't have to do arse work of any kind.

It's always brilliant to see Samantha but I don't really understand her cameo. I assume it must have been shoe-horned in without warning, and hence why she wasn't mentioned for months.

We can count cats among the things the AJLT writers have no experience of. Did Carrie put the cat to bed during the dinner party? How on earth is she going to keep the cat inside in the new apartment, with those big balconies? Who the hell's looking after the cat whilst she buggers off to Greece? (I realise people go on holiday but it sounded like they'd been there for ages).

Loved Charlotte's speech, and I thought Herbert and LTW did their absolute best with the world's most underwritten pregnancy storyline.

Noticed this straight away and I'm 100% sure it was a very deliberate choice, to symbolise Carrie's trust in Aidan, her moving on in life etc.

I did wonder about the cat bedtime! Was she down in the other flat? And yes who’s minding kitty while they are holidays? Improbable Lisette?

Don't know about the symbolism but I noticed about the toplessness too. I thought it was SJP trying to be edgy.

I too was taken aback by bra free Carrie. I’m wondering if it’s because she left them all behind for Lysette - symbolic in a bra burning kind of way, passing the bra baton (and all the hang ups of youthful relationships) to the younger generation. She did say in a previous episode that she felt sexually liberated for the first time - that she’d always held something back, but this time with Aiden, she was all in and having fabulous orgasms. It might also be SJP showing the industry that she still has a fabulous body she’s proud of.

Anyhow. Aiden’s arse has to have been symbolic of what a complete and utter arse he is. The whole 5 year thing is so weird, and I can’t work out whether they will be seeing each other at all in that time or not. My DH watched it and said it’s Aiden’s slow revenge on Carrie for the Big affair. Then bellowed “You broke my heart!!!” and scared the cat.
