I thought I was the only one who thought that. What would a sixty something gay man who has lived I. Nyc throughout AIDS suddenly want to start having anal just because some young fella told him that it was normal? Let’s all start doing it then.

I didn't even notice the leggings with Carrie's dress as I was so obsessed with the dress I was just looking at that and not noticing anything else. Miranda's red outfit was wonderful too.

Overall I thought it was a brilliant episode, especially when you compare it to the start of the season and if it hadn't been renewed for a third season I would have been happy enough having it finish there.

I hope S3 will now continue in this vein and I can continue to enjoy it instead of hate watching like I did at first.

Awww I liked it. Made me nostalgic for the origin series though. And for my own life tbh. I’m the same age as CB. First series when I was 40 something.

Aiden can get in the bin. Carrie has got a nice new apartment though now and a cute little pet/baby substitute. Stick with the cat Carrie.

Couple of thoughts - Steve keeping the name of his beachside bar as Paul's Daughter and commenting something like he hoped Paul had a better year then him. Wasn't his dad called Paul? Thought it was a name he suggested for Brady when Miranda was pregnant as it was his middle name - or have I remembered that wrong?

And what was that about Kathy being the one travelling all over the world buying textiles so Aidan had to be around for the kids? What about the trip to Abu Dhabi? He made it sound like a regular thing during SATC2 (a couple of hours of my life I'll never get back). Again, the writers don't seem to have watched the old series or have been seized with temporary amnesia

Ho hum. Bit of an anticlimax but the clothes were epic as usual

Quite like the way everything was wrapped up though. Che and Toby can sod off and not come back. Ditto Jackie and Smoke. The rest can stay for S3.

Didnt much like the finale.

Yeah like Carrie will wait 5 years for Aiden and his tighty whiteys and passel of needy sons. She seemed remarkably unaffected by the whole mess. Her new persona, I guess.
Was disappointed by Kim Cattrall's cameo. It was so brief and blah. Could she not even bear to be in the same room as SJP?
Anthony didn't seem to be enjoying being fucked at last.
Can Kristin Davis not deliver a line without shrieking and gurning?

Loved SJP's silver dress, Seema's ditto and Miranda's red dress. I think I only liked the fashions.

S 3 desperately needs some good looking men. Tired of seeing the light shine off Harry and Herbert's bald heads. Give us some eye candy! All the women look so good; the men are hideous. Ravi looks good but can't act.

I do like that Charlotte and Miranda are working at last. They spent way too much time waiting on needy/annoying Harry and Che. The cheek of Harry saying he is doing it all! He can get in the bin with Aiden.

I hope Carrie does something interesting professionally in S 3. I guess Miranda may move in with her.

Toussaint is not bad, I guess.

I enjoyed the brief return of Annabel Bronstein from "Injah".

So much this. They just enjoy being star crossed lovers kept apart by Big or Wyatt or whatever. That way Carrie doesn't have to wash Aiden's Y fronts.

@stringbean what you say about Paul rings bells. And Steve had an older (although never seen) sister - Jackie, with whom Mary confessed to Miranda she was already pregnant when she got married. So Paul’s Daughter would work for Steve.

Yes, that's right about Steve's sister @Ridemeginger - the name suits perfectly. Why don't the writers know this stuff? Surely someone would have pointed it out?

What I loved:

• Herbert and Lisa. gorgeous as always
• Charlotte’s rants about the mental load. Incidentally WHY does Harry need help getting a 17yo and 14yo out the house?! They’re not toddlers!
• Anthony opening up
• Miranda making peace with Steve
• SAMANTHA!!
• Nya and the beautiful chef

What I hated:

• Aidan Aidan Aidan. Has he dumped Carrie or not?! Also, the whole shite about “Kathy was always abroad or with her boyfriend, I have been the children’s constant” - yeah except for the work trip to Abu Dabi (surely there was more than that one trip) where you had an affair behind their mums back and also the part time NYC living. Idiot. He gives me Disney dad vibes.
• Seeing Aidan almost naked. I think I prefer the y-fronts ON
• Che. Just burn them already.
• Jackie. No way would Carrie hang out with that loser IRL
• Lisette. Does the actress have a parent in the production team? What is her purpose? And how can she afford a Manhattan apartment, even at a low cost, flogging tacky Poundland jewellery?

Also have we just forgotten about Brady and Lily?!

Also hated the “let’s go round the table and say a word” bollocks. Not very Carrie. Reminds of of cringey Team away days.

Just googled a fandom page. Says Steve has a dad and grandpa both called Paul, and sister Jackie. I can’t remember if Mary specified a sex when she told Miranda. Somehow, I reckon if Steve had a brother, he’d have been mentioned more.

Loved the call backs to SATC: Annabelle Bronstein from Injah (!), Samantha’s ’something funny is about to happen’ theme tune, ‘Best Of My Love’, also used in the last episode of SATC-or was it the first film?-playing before the dinner party. I thought that was nicely done.
I agree that Che, Jackie and Smoke all seem a bit surplus to requirements now. Also Aidan’s ‘you’re all I’ve thought about all these years’? Where’s the evidence?! I don’t buy that, sorry mate.

Ravi was asking Seema to come to Cairo with him for five months after, what, 8 weeks together? But Carrie, who is rich and can write anywhere, couldn’t get a little flat in Norfolk, Virginia and spend a week or two a month there??
