The jewellery. I’m sure I owned that ring in the early Noughties… And Seema’s Wallis-type necklace. My Aunty Morag has a drawer full of those! Loved Lisette’s top, gotta say. And Miranda’s orange dress. And Carrie’s last outfit. The clothes are the star. Not Carrie’s old bras, though!

That article makes another good point. Harry making a big show of giving Charlotte a phone. Looked like product placement- they will all have the best phone won’t they!
And as for why Carrie fell head over heels in love again so fast… It was Aiden. Familiar, comfortable, and comfortably off Aiden. Carrie was never going to fall hard for the teacher or the podcast producer. She needed a guy happy to spaff sixty dollars on a garlic press and a coffee machine for her mate’s apartment.
Sad to say all her loves have been of significant means. Petrovsky, Big, even Berger had a holiday home, despite his envy of her big publishing advance cheque, didn’t he?
To be fair to Carrie she never hid it though: ‘he has the whole floor’… ‘I’ll get it. Just like he was picking up a check’…

Not that Carrie couldn’t afford the garlic press/Nespresso combo, just needed a bloke who also didn’t raise an eyebrow at that sort of (lavish by my standards!)spending. You get my drift!

I just watched the last episode. Oh dear , so many ick moments but won’t repeat as you’re all thinking the same. Worst for me was the look on Anthony’s face in his last scene- that’s just wrong and what were the writers thinking?!! Also, Aidan just needs to do one….and this from someone who actually liked Aidan in the original series.

Loved loved loved Miranda!! She was just fabulous in this last episode. The scene with Steve nearly brought a tear to my eye and her outfits, all made me think of the old Miranda again.

I hate Aiden.

Imagine his wife posting on here - I had three children whilst DH travelled the world and kissed his ex girlfriend.

We then divorced and he’s rewriting history and claiming he was the children’s constant and spent our whole marriage thinking of his ex.

He gives me a major ick. Like he got married and had kids just to make Carrie jealous, except it didn’t work and he had to wait for Big to die.

Yeah, the Miranda & Steve scene. I actually cared, tears were behind my eyes. Everything else seems so light & fluffy (including Shoe, but she plays it so well). The miscarriage, especially, was glossed over. I love Lisa & Herbert, like I love Charlotte & Harry, so it could have been much better…

I like that Anthony’s sex life came into it, instead of him being relegated to GBF, as he was in earlier episodes. I mean, things like that do happen. Not all of the sex is hot…

Nya and Seema felt pointless for most of this seasons. But hello sexy hot chef! More of him please. More of Herb. More of Charlotte's career.
Less of Anthony and the accent with a penis. Rehome that cat. Defenestrate Che and all the podcast crew.
The Last Supper's guest list did not make sense. Nya is Miranda's friend. Herb and Lisa are Charlotte's friends. Why would you let Anthony bring a boyfriend he's literally just met to a dinner like that?

I felt the same way…I really cared about their relationship- even brought me back to the scene with the MIL - when Miranda finds her and gives her a bath and Magda the housekeeper says ‘what you did, that’s love, you love’ - one of my favourite Miranda scenes of all time ❤️ I think I need to rewatch the series!!

DM12, I’m ready to re-watch SATC as well. I’ve done it a few times before. The depths, the laughs, the drama… Where are they in AJLT? Even the side-characters in the original were amazing (the woman who fell out of the window was one of my faves!)

Pathetic isn’t it!

My kids are 10 and 6. 10yo gets herself dressed, bag sorted, makes her own cereal and so does 6yo except for the cereal/breakfast. I have to get the eldest out her pit now and again and have to remind them of the time but essentially all I have to do is make 6yo’s breakfast and walk them to school. At 14 I was very much getting myself up, doing a paper round and then getting out catching the bus while my parents were still fast asleep. What do Harry and Charlotte even have to DO for 2 teenage brats girls

The more I think about it the more annoyed I am about bloody Aidan.

His kids go through divorce and he forces them to meet his ex who he’s reunited with for 5 minutes. Spends half his time away from them, and doesn’t notice his 14yo is on drugs. The solution? Always hang around his house for FIVE YEARS. It was SO odd. It was like a dodgy way of dumping someone

I know! He really is such a dickhead. And are responds by looking mildly miffed and then jumping into bed with him 🤷🏻 he's such a waste of time, but then so was Big
