After several people mentioned on the UK Love Island thread that they hadn't seen a thread for Love Island USA, I thought I'd start a thread for it. If you have missed the first few episodes, (I think there have been 5 or 6 so far,) they are on the iplayer on ITVX.

Must admit I was struggling a bit for the first few episodes as it was all new, (I struggled with the UK one - and it was several weeks before I got into it!) I am starting to get into Love Island USA a bit now.

There's a Jason Momoa lookalike (Victor,) which makes it worth watching straight away! And an Aussie has just come in as a bombshell, (Harrison,) who has Hemsworth brother vibes (and does look a bit like one of them.) Also a 'Will from UK Winter Love Island 2023' type guy who is a bit shy and awkward but cute. (Bergie.) Then there's Anna who has 'Rachel from Friends' vibes! Quite a cute lass. Then there's KayKay, Kassie, Carmen, Destiny, and many other gorgeous girls. 😍

There are some decent looking guys, along with being lots of gorgeous girls!!! Quite an interesting line-up. And it's starting to heat up with people flirting with other peoples partners, some serious grafting going on, and people starting to snipe at one another.

It's on again tomorrow night. I think it has episodes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I don't think it's on at the weekend.

Just caught up with last night's now... The reaction from Kenzo was adorable. He's so sweet. How he ran up to Carmen and hugged her when she came back alone. 😊

But yeah I didn't understand why she (Carmen) had to bring up the video either @Tomeeornottomee Maybe the producers told her to do it. Not sure, but she was a bit opinionated about it!

I don't believe for one minute Destiny truly just fell asleep. She was definitely faking it .. not sure why though.

Oh yeah, for sure Destiny was faking it. Not sure why. Maybe she didn't fancy him, or maybe she didn't want to be seen 'getting jiggy' in the villa.

Am I the only one who was a bit grossed out by the reaction of Bergie and his mates .. it really came across as disrespectful to the girl. It was like they were egging him on.

I bet Keenan regrets not choosing the other girl now! I really don’t like Destiny - her face pulling and snide remarks are awful. Do you think Mike was told to bring in new Hannah to keep the drama going with Hannah1? He seemed to switch to her really quickly and I felt sorry for the other casa girl he was with. The one with Bergie really doesn’t like him and is in it for the ride! This is all so much brutal than UK and much more interesting!

I think you're right about Bergie. I reckon that girl showed an interest just to get in the villa.

And yep, I reckon Keenan DOES regret not bringing the other lass back now.

I am on the fence about Destiny. Liked her a lot to start with but went off her a bit. But I can't articulate why.

I like KayKay a lot, and think she is a good catch, and too good for bloody Keenan!

And yeah this IS a good series. People who aren't watching, are really missing out!

So much better than this years UK version. DH and I have a real issue with Carmen. We think she's in it for the fame and felt so sorry for Kenzo last night. He was so stoked to see her, but she was just intent on stirring up the shit that she barely acknowledged his existence. Also her comments may have skewed the others choices.
Will be interesting to see the OG girls attitude to jonny later. So far all of their anger has been focused on Leo.
Keenan will try and talk his way out of trouble with kay kay. I just hope she sticks to her guns and waits for someone better than him.

Carmen is really grinding my gears now. Why does she have to be so involved with everyone else's business.

I was thinking the same @Tomeeornottomee she's invested too much in everyone's drama and seems the thrive on it!! Sadly KayKay will just slip back into being coupled up 😣 personally I think there was more to the undercover again with the other girl.! The new one who had sex on day two should so ashamed of herself, she's a keeper for sure 🤣

I’m fed up of it all being about Leo and Keenan now - we’re not seeing much of Imani and Big Bear at all! Mike’s cooked his goose with Destiny! Still think whatsherface is not into Bergie - she can’t even look at him! Carmen thinks she’s gonna win - Hannah will up her game now with Marco! When’s the final?

OMG I am sick of Destiny now. I have liked her pretty much all of the show so far, but she is proving to be high maintenance now, and a real madam. She just cannot be wrong - ever. She is pissing her guy (Zay) around terribly. It was so rude how she just faked being asleep in the hideaway too. She didn't HAVE to have sex, she could have said 'I don't want to get intimate,' and still stayed up and chatted to him. Rude!

I LOVE KayKay, and like a pp, I also really like OG Hannah. I also dislike Carmen now, and I also get it, how and why she is always in peoples business! Her tough-talking 'tell-it-like-it-is' act seems fake too. I reckon she is not like that in real life.

WTF was wrong with Mike (who had ago at Sarah Hyland - the host???) She did nothing wrong. Only asked a particular poster if they were sure they wanted to leave??? (Won't say who leaves in case some posters are a few episodes behind.) He called her sooo disrespectful for asking if someone definitely wants to leave? Idiot. She did nothing wrong!

The Kassy/Leo/Matio/Kassy's carbon Johnnie copy drama is annoying me now!

I am hugely annoyed at Imani going after Bergie now that things didn't work out with her and her man. Piss off girl, he is with Taylor (the casa girl!) I like her too.

Also, seriously, who the feck calls their DAUGHTER Johnnie? So they wanted a boy and not a girl, so gave her a 'masculine' name. Could have called her Antonia, Christopher, or Joanna, then it could have been shortened to Toni, Chris, or Jo. Calling a GIRL Johnnie is just plain cruel. Thank goodness she is beautiful!

love Hannah now - didn’t think her and Marco were genuine at first but really like them now. She was so super mature in casa amor with great advice - I really warmed to her. (Although even at the time I thought that was pretty bitchy to talk about kassy that way)

hated Carmen at first but have warmed to her and Kenzo. He is too cute.

destiny is an absolute pain in the hole. She’s a whiny, moany, annoying, ungrateful diva. And the way she talks to guys calling them “poopy” in a baby voice makes me want to scream.

I can’t keep up with imani’s hair btw - is she wearing wigs or is she just really good at mixing it up?

johnny is gorgeous and I love her curly hair too. She defo is Kassy’s double though.

I have a love / hate relationship with kassy. I think she’s a bit sneaky and conniving but equally she’s quite authentic. She makes me laugh as she just says what she thinks.

none of the boys are a real catch now. Zay is quite handsome in a Memphis Belle type of way but I’m not sure any of the girls will be into him.

Also, anyone else notice how Taylor was almost encouraging Bergie not to close himself off? She’s soooo not into him and looking for an easy exit. Those big sooky noisy kisses!? WTAF was that all about. Then when she said he could try using his tongue 🤢…. He needs to go.

im sure there are Mary-jos and Jeanies all over the mid west who would love bergie but the sophisticated, experienced, preened girls of love island are just not ever going to go for him.

So, last night's was a good one. What about Johnnie and Kassy?! I did NOT see that coming! Literally came out of nowhere !!! There hasn't been any sign that they fancied each other! Poor old Leonardo ha ha ha. 😆 Still hung up on Kassy! She is having none of it though. I do wonder if she will crack if he carries on badgering her though. To be fair, he has acknowledged that he has lost her through his own actions.

Looks like 'tough-talking Carmen' will get upset tonight. Last night she did a 'sexy' dance to raise the blood pressure of the boys, and her guy (can't remember his name as I find him so boring!) has got all pissy and jell! As the boys said to him, it's only a friggin' game/task. And she didn't kiss any of them apparently. Seems like he (her bloke!) has a go at her tonight, as the preview shows her crying about it all.

Cute that Bergie has a girl now - Taylor S I think her name is? She reminds me of Mariah Carey a bit. I am not sure if she's genuine, OR just trying/hoping to win - or be in the FINAL. Ultimately, the couples who end up in the final, end up being remembered more.

Destiny was such a nasty cow to the guy she is coupled up with (ZAY.) The one with the little thin moustache. He tried to talk to her and she just wouldn't even stay to listen. She is really horrible. I am surprised Scott showed a bit of an interest in her actually.

Imani is quite cute, and seems to love the BRIDDISH boy!

Still liking Hannah and Marco. They seem to be the only couple so far who have had no bumps in the road.

Who will Kassy choose do you think? I’m thinking Leo. Destiny is so awful- what’s wrong with her?? Think poor Matteo will be going home.

Well Jonnie is bi and Kassy thought she’d explore that as well. Both such beauties I thought they looked good together. Alas Kassy has gone back to Leo in the decoupling. Jonnie chose our Scott. Poor Matteo has now left. We were then still stuck with crazy Destiny who chose Kyle.
The boys had to then cook a meal and then in their couple had to vote who they thought least compatible. For a while I was hopeful Destiny was out but she survives again! Imani and Kayn( is that his name?) were dumped because earlier in the show he had told the boys he only felt friendship vibes. So left we have:
Hannah and Marco
Carmen and Kenzo
Kassy and Leo
Jonny and our Scott
Taylor (fake) and Big boy Bergie
Dastardly Destiny and Kyle

My money’s on Hannah and Marco.

I also wonder if our Scott wasn’t told at the end of UK LI that he’d be going to Fiji and that was why he didn’t make any effort with connections!

Does anyone know Scott's relationship history? Has he had a long term/ lived with someone( though at 22 probably not) ,it's just as much as I like him, I feel he is so bland and not putting a lot of effort into anyone. Let's see.

I think we all know there’s more to love island than meets the eye, but to me it has been obvious in the last couple of episodes. Imani was really into Scott (and vice versa) and we saw that, then suddenly imani is having forced chats with Zay and Scott is speaking to Johnny.

scott was totally Imani’s number one but it looks to me like she was told to pick Zay. She looked like a different person (really flat / down) throughout the recoupling and it makes me think this wasn’t her first choice.

Caught up now. I can't believe Imani and Scott went - over Destiny and Kyle. There is no more between them than Imani and Scott, and Destiny is hugely dislikeable. I did laugh when Kyle's family said they don't like Destiny. 😆 Destiny tried to brush it off but you could tell she was wounded.

Felt sorry for Bergie and Taylor when Bergie's grandfather said 'I don't think you have a connection, and it seems forced.' Absolutely no need to say that and has made them feel like shit.

I didn't like how Scott acted like King of the Villa by confronting Bergie and Taylor for voting for them (as least compatible couple.) Scott is so full of himself. I wasn't a fan of him in the UK villa, and I don't like him much in here either.

2 more couples to go tonight. Unless they don't do the 'eviction' til the end of the show, and make us wait til Monday. I hate it when they do that. Pisses me off. Why do they do it? To make sure we come back and watch the next episode? We would do that anyway.
