After several people mentioned on the UK Love Island thread that they hadn't seen a thread for Love Island USA, I thought I'd start a thread for it. If you have missed the first few episodes, (I think there have been 5 or 6 so far,) they are on the iplayer on ITVX.

Must admit I was struggling a bit for the first few episodes as it was all new, (I struggled with the UK one - and it was several weeks before I got into it!) I am starting to get into Love Island USA a bit now.

There's a Jason Momoa lookalike (Victor,) which makes it worth watching straight away! And an Aussie has just come in as a bombshell, (Harrison,) who has Hemsworth brother vibes (and does look a bit like one of them.) Also a 'Will from UK Winter Love Island 2023' type guy who is a bit shy and awkward but cute. (Bergie.) Then there's Anna who has 'Rachel from Friends' vibes! Quite a cute lass. Then there's KayKay, Kassie, Carmen, Destiny, and many other gorgeous girls. 😍

There are some decent looking guys, along with being lots of gorgeous girls!!! Quite an interesting line-up. And it's starting to heat up with people flirting with other peoples partners, some serious grafting going on, and people starting to snipe at one another.

It's on again tomorrow night. I think it has episodes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I don't think it's on at the weekend.

Are people watching on ITVX? If so how are you finding the sound quality. It’s all over the place for me. Quiet one minute and then suddenly blasts really loud for a second.

Not feeling much affinity with many of the islanders so far but only on episode 6. Find Anna really odd; she’s like a loud annoying teenager. Agree with PP who said getting funny vibes from Destiny. She seems like she could be a bit ragey. Jasmine seems quite nice but have a feeling she’s quite fragile and not sure if the show is for her.

I've also found the sound goes up and down.. bizarre! I'm a bit further on episode wise .. but about to go off grid camping so no doubt you'll catch up!

Yes, I have found the sound goes up and down. It is a bit annoying, but for most of the show it's fairly OK. Not as bad now, by week 3 as it was on week 1.

It does come out loud on the ad breaks. (TOO MANY AD BREAKS TOO! And for this reason I record it and start watching 20 minutes in! So I can skim through the ad breaks )

Have you watched tonight's episode? (Tuesday, 22nd of August?) One of the girls decided to actually leave and not pick any of the boys. She just decided to leave. Feel really sorry for her to be honest. I won't say who it is. In case you haven't watched it already.

Feeling bad for Bergie. I don't think Bergie is ever gonna find love in there to be honest with you ... I think at that sort of age 20-25-ish, people are much more into physical and sexual attraction and sexual chemistry. Bergie gives Roy Cropper from Corrie vibes, IMO. Really nice and kind, quite interesting to talk to, potential husband material, and probably a good dad, but you could never be physically and sexually attracted to him.

I'm not keen on Bergie,I'm sure there was something about him breaking the 'boycode' a week or two back and he was just really shifty and the other lads all stuck by Victor( who had done nothing wrong). Bergie gives me the pick,not sure why.
Who is coupled with the dark haired bloke? Who has eyes for the new girl. Sorry,my memory is shot! I hope Scott comes in and sweeps her off her feet as she is lovely.

I wouldn't trust the Australian bloke,not sure why,he seems ok but there is something not quite right there!
Love the way they are all so grateful in the USA,all saying ' hey thanks,I really appreciate that' when someone makes a coffee or gives a compliment. Also seem so much more chilled than the UK one.

Just started watching this and on episode 3. It will give me something to binge watch over the bank holiday weekend, but the sound levels are doing my nut in!

I am up to date, watching on the app and haven’t noticed any issues with sound.

im so glad everyone is enjoying this. Last year was my first LIUSA and I kept telling everyone is was better than the UK version and the people were a bit nicer / more normal 😍

have to say though - I accidentally saw a few things when I googled last night trying to work out when Scott’s going in. Bit of a shocker coming up with a same sex couple involving one of the OGs… looks like the show is definitely picking up pace now!

I watched last years too and absolutely loved it!

Just caught up on last night's, and MAURA was on there! (From Love Island several years ago!) She was a guest, reading out the lists of most boring male, most attention seeking female and so on...

And at the end of the show, they had the public's 4 least liked girls, and 4 least liked boys. A few shocks - and faces like slapped arses!!! On Sunday we will find out who is the least liked of ALL. It looks like we will lose a boy and a girl. And it's CASA AMOR soon too!!!!!!!! (I think Scott from UK Love Island this summer may be going in then...)

Keenan is a grumpy miserable so-and-so whose mood changes several times a day. Flirts - and has banter with other girls, but goes all arsey and stroppy when Kay-Kay does (who he is coupled up with) does the same with another boy. He has now said he DOESN'T want to be closed off. Kay-Kay needs to ditch him.

The new girl flirting with Destiny's new man did NOT go well!

Feel a bit sorry for the lass (Kassy,) who has another (new) girl interested in her man...

But yeah it's all hotting up now!

What is the point of Bergie? Keenan needs to go - he looks a nasty piece of work. I’m not warming to Destiny either - she thinks she’s better than everyone. Loved seeing Maura! Please don’t let it be Harrison that goes he’s utterly gorgeous😂

Yeah it is time for Bergie to go. No girl is ever going to fancy him. Sad but true. (Not the sort of girls they have in there anyway.) The couple of girls that have shown the remotest interest have just been using him to stay on the show.

I also hugely dislike Keenan, and think Kay-Kay needs to detach herself properly from him - he treats her like shit.

Love Island USA is back again tonight (after the weekend off.)

I’m still a bit behind but just wanted to say I think it’s quite unfair that Cassie seems to keep being singled out by the other girls as being untrustworthy and not a “girls girl”. The episode where she was crying and saying she keeps fucking up despite her best intentions was quite heartbreaking to watch. There are other girls in there who I think are less genuine (Carmen) and aren’t getting half the stick Cassie is.

Also have Anna and the islanders conveniently forgotten that Leo was initially coupled up with Cassie and you could say that Anna stole him from Cassie. She was certainly kissing him in front of Cassie. Yet that was all fine and dandy?

Agree with you about Cassie/Kassy @Rollergirl11 She does seem a sensitive soul.

YEP I really want KAYKAY to bring another man back to the villa! Am I the only one who was a bit grossed out by the reaction of Bergie and his mates .. it really came across as disrespectful to the girl. It was like they were egging him on.

I've been avoiding g this thread because DH and I have binge watched it and now we're all caught up... so. Tonight's post casa recoupling was....interesting. I can't stand Carmen.
