Love Island USA Season 5. ITVBe at 10pm.

After several people mentioned on the UK Love Island thread that they hadn't seen a thread for Love Island USA, I thought I'd start a thread for it. If you have missed the first few episodes, (I think there have been 5 or 6 so far,) they are on the iplayer on ITVX.

Must admit I was struggling a bit for the first few episodes as it was all new, (I struggled with the UK one - and it was several weeks before I got into it!) I am starting to get into Love Island USA a bit now.

There's a Jason Momoa lookalike (Victor,) which makes it worth watching straight away! And an Aussie has just come in as a bombshell, (Harrison,) who has Hemsworth brother vibes (and does look a bit like one of them.) Also a 'Will from UK Winter Love Island 2023' type guy who is a bit shy and awkward but cute. (Bergie.) Then there's Anna who has 'Rachel from Friends' vibes! Quite a cute lass. Then there's KayKay, Kassie, Carmen, Destiny, and many other gorgeous girls. 😍

There are some decent looking guys, along with being lots of gorgeous girls!!! Quite an interesting line-up. And it's starting to heat up with people flirting with other peoples partners, some serious grafting going on, and people starting to snipe at one another.

It's on again tomorrow night. I think it has episodes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I don't think it's on at the weekend.

Not sure if it's going to be as busy as the UK Love Island one, as it doesn't look like many are watching it.

I've watched the ones that are on the player in the background, seems to be an interesting cast and I think with the voiceover feels more familiar than previous US series! I expect bergie will be kept in for a while but be another Dr Alex! Destiny is absolutely gorgeous.

ok so last year I watched and really liked the US version as it felt more real and authentic and less polished than the UK version (the exact opposite of what I would have expected).

I haven’t started this year yet because it wasn’t on ITVX but it seems like they must have been waiting for the UK version to finish first??

On episode 3 and really liking it so far! Although I’m disappointed that when I googled my favourite guy to check something, I accidentally saw when he leaves the show so I’m gutted already!

I've been watching too! Poor Bergie has never cuddled a woman? I hope his partner is kind,she is really sweet to him but she really isnt feeling it( can't see Carmen feeling it either with him). He would make a fab husband for someone but probably not on this.

Just watching last night's now (Monday 14th August.) Loving Destiny and Harrison. So cute together. May be hard to make it work on the outside though, as they live 10,000 miles apart. (Her Missouri USA, him Adelaide Australia.) One of them would have to upend their entire life.

Carmen seems to want to be with Bergie now. Poor Victor! The shy dude (Bergie) is becoming more popular now, as the girls realise they don't need to be with a beefy or musclebound man!
