Love Island USA Season 5. ITVBe at 10pm.

After several people mentioned on the UK Love Island thread that they hadn't seen a thread for Love Island USA, I thought I'd start a thread for it. If you have missed the first few episodes, (I think there have been 5 or 6 so far,) they are on the iplayer on ITVX.

Must admit I was struggling a bit for the first few episodes as it was all new, (I struggled with the UK one - and it was several weeks before I got into it!) I am starting to get into Love Island USA a bit now.

There's a Jason Momoa lookalike (Victor,) which makes it worth watching straight away! And an Aussie has just come in as a bombshell, (Harrison,) who has Hemsworth brother vibes (and does look a bit like one of them.) Also a 'Will from UK Winter Love Island 2023' type guy who is a bit shy and awkward but cute. (Bergie.) Then there's Anna who has 'Rachel from Friends' vibes! Quite a cute lass. Then there's KayKay, Kassie, Carmen, Destiny, and many other gorgeous girls. 😍

There are some decent looking guys, along with being lots of gorgeous girls!!! Quite an interesting line-up. And it's starting to heat up with people flirting with other peoples partners, some serious grafting going on, and people starting to snipe at one another.

It's on again tomorrow night. I think it has episodes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I don't think it's on at the weekend.

OMG they dragged THAT out! 😂 Getting rid of one of the contestants. Went on from last night's show to tonight's and then still went on for about 7 minutes before they said who they were keeping!

Destiny said the reasons why they were keeping this person, and rambled on for ages, and kept stopping and hesitating!!!

I swear if they cut the gaps/silences/and waffle out of this (AND the ad breaks!) that the show would only be about 12 minutes long!

Really wondering if Carmen was EVER into Bergie?!

I'm on catch up so not reading back through comments just yet. Poor victor!! He's my favourite so far and his had nothing but disappointment 😕 Carmen is game playing I suspect.. either way she's treated him appallingly. I just don't get destiny.. somethings amiss with her.

I feel bad for Victor too... And also I feel bad for blondie - Anna is it, as her man (Leonardo) has gone off with another girl!!! (Kassy.) Just flirting shamelessly in front of Anna. Can't see anything amiss with Destiny... (yet) Maybe you're seeing something I'm not @rockingbird

I agree , I have a weird feeling about Destiny... not sure what it is but there's something off with her.

@TheDutchHouse I agree. Carmen was NEVER going to go for Bergie. I told my DH this, and he said 'nah she really likes him... Girls like a nice guy.' I said 'not on here. Not on this type of show. They want beefy/hot/muscular men. She is gameplaying.' I was right. I am amazed Carmen ditched Victor, but maybe he really gave her the ick.

Poor Bergie. Carmen has played him like a fiddle. Hope she goes next! The girls regretted keeping Carmen. She hoodwinked all of them. The girls AND the lads!

Hey, I’m just about to start watching this as I’ve seen that some rather juicy islanders are about to go in! Can I say or do people not want to know??! I swear it’s good!!

Umm, you can discuss it if you like @Rollergirl11 - that's what the thread is for. I think most people are up to date on it (in the UK/on UK TV anyway!)

If you're somewhere other than the UK, and are a few episodes further on that us (- we are on the episode where the 3 new bombshells have just entered -) then it's probably best not to say anything. I am assuming you are in the UK though?

Sad to see victor gone 😞 warming to Harrison more and more, I don't see him staying with destiny.. Anna - I fail to see the appeal, droning on a bit. The new bombshell girl is going to be brutal

I've been watching this too- I'm hooked! A quick question though, how comes I can only see 12 episodes available on ITVX? Just googled it to see when the next one is coming out and accidentally saw spoilers so know there are definitely more episodes out there. Can anyone else see more than 12 available? Thanks!

@GameOfGroans I don't think there are any more than the 12 episodes, because that's all that's available yet. I THINK that we are only a few days behind the USA one. It's all still quite fresh and new.

ALSO, it seems that SCOTT from OUR Love Island 2023 (that has just finished,) is going into the villa on Love Island USA soon!!! How exciting.

Yeah, Ian really irritated me during the last season. He was soooo annoying, and not funny. I have always found him OK, and quite amusing/funny, but during the UK summer 2023 Love Island this year, I found him hugely annoying. Seems he always has to jabber on, and try desperately to be funny during ANY silence in the show. Even if it's only 5 or 6 seconds!!!

Ok so I'm in episode 10. I'm confused about Victor and Carmen. Did Carmen say she only felt friendship vibes with Bergie, or did Victor make that up. It's taken me until now to recognise them all. I always get similar people confused for ages 🙄. I really didn't like Victor towards the end and how he kept going on at Bergie, even as he was leaving he had to get a dig in. But if he read telling the truth, perhaps I would feel differently.

Carmen has just pied Bergie. I think she might be playing games. Although I love her natural curly hair 😁. Destiny's hair is stunning too. I seem to look at peoples hair a lot

@TruthThatsHardAsSteel As far as I'm aware Carmen didn't mention 'only friendship' vibes with Bergie. Victor did accuse her, but I didn't see any footage of it - I'd have thought they would have shown her saying it......

Still, looks like she DID have friendship vibes seeing as she has screwed him over and dumped him for a pathetic reason. She is playing a game for sure.

I am feeling sorry for Anna right now with how Leonardo is behaving with Kassy. And now Keenan is messing Kay-Kay about!
