Then I got confused by Cassie claiming to be Ty 's mum/Evelyn's daughter and then all this talk of SA and police station doorsteps.

How old is Cassie supposed to be? Ty said last night he was 40, I suppose Cassie must be mid-late 50s? Considering her long drug history she looks miraculously preserved for late 50s. I'm not sure how old Claire Sweeney is, I suppose she maybe in her 50s but I think given how drugs age a person they should have gone fo someone who looks older.

Youre correct, they should, as they were born Jan 2006, but at some point they were “aged up”. Aadi took the fall for Summer cheating in her exams last year so I think they are meant to be the same age now as Amy (born Feb 2004).

Just to add yet another question which probably has no answer. That run down flat which Evelyn took Cassie to. How did that happen?. Cassie wouldn't be able to rent it and Evelyn is a pensioner with no way of paying a landlord and it can't be a social housing flat either as they aren't allocated to just anyone at short notice.

Well it seemed that way to me but I could have been hallucinating by this point. My vague memory is that Cassie did a cat's bum face when she saw the outside of the flat, and Evelyn said how it was good of whoever-it-was to let them have it or be doing them a favour or something. And then it was never mentioned again.
