Chat away to your heart’s content about invisible quads, terrible children’s clothing designs that are apparently groundbreaking, Stephen’s bizarre whispering and much more!

Let her go to her dad's

She has been a bloody nightmare tonight.

AceofPentacles · 11/09/2023 20:39

Evelyn calling Nina "Count Spatula" 🤣

Yes

Don't give that man 10k. He can't mange Eliza anyway

Heliotroper · 11/09/2023 20:46

I had never imagined characters in Jane Austen novels looking like Courtney

greengreengrass25 · 11/09/2023 20:54

Angry badger

Where has the barbershop gone, thought David ran that

Sure Evelyn's flat wasn't there

Was that where she lived originally

DahliaMacNamara · 11/09/2023 21:00

Turn the bloody lights on for the next episode, Corrie. I thought my telly must be knackered.

thenightsky · 11/09/2023 21:04

Who is this bloke who is interested in DeeDee?

AutumnCrow · 11/09/2023 21:19

I think the decent actors are really trying to hold Corrie together, but if they don't get rid of the Eliza nonsense it'll be an error. And I don't feel good saying that, as the RL actor is only 11. But it's crap. As a character and, to be frank, as a child actor, she's very boring and I don't care. Ditto her predictable dad.

aflix · 11/09/2023 21:47

It was a bit strange in the hospital, I was waiting for someone to ask the dad if he wanted Eliza full time. It was pretty obvious that he didn't.

The old selling your child storyline has been a Corrie favourite over the years.

Heliotroper · 11/09/2023 22:19

Do Max and Amy know they were once sold to people who still live on the street?

Fiddlersgreen · 11/09/2023 22:24

Who was Max sold to?

Clawdy · 11/09/2023 22:48

Eliza is a good young actress, and was a very sweet character at first, but of course they have to change her into a difficult and miserable kid, this is Corrie.

MillicentTrilbyHiggins · 11/09/2023 23:12

Fiddlersgreen · 11/09/2023 22:24

Who was Max sold to?

Steve and his then wife Becky, who was his mums sister. Kylie. Couldn't remember her name!

I think they were married anyway.

eggandonion · 11/09/2023 23:30

Terry Duckworth sold a child to posh grandparents in Blackpool?

aflix · 11/09/2023 23:34

I vaguely remember Terry Duckworth selling his son and only recently Summer arranged to sell her unborn child. Any more?

aflix · 11/09/2023 23:37

@eggandonion Cross post, that Terry Duckworth was a bad'un.

Findyourneutralspace · 11/09/2023 23:53

And Toyah tried to buy a baby. It’s a regular little baby farm, is Weatherfield. I didn’t know Becky and Kylie were sisters though - or maybe I just forgot. I can still picture Becky, hammered in her wedding dress and tiara.

AutumnCrow · 11/09/2023 23:58

Zoe Tattershall wanted to flog her baby to the Malletts for a couple of grand.

Heliotroper · 12/09/2023 06:35

Then she sold her soul to the Cult of Nirab.

She may be the High Priestess by now.

They should bring her back

eggandonion · 12/09/2023 08:33

We need more wrong uns like Terry who aren't murderers. And Nirab was a brilliant bonkers storyline.
Dad would soon be trying to pay Stu to take whining Eliza back. With bonus discussion of period pants and moon cups.

Helendegenerate · 12/09/2023 12:08

The whole lot of it is utter unbelievable tripe. Even DeeDee's storylines are iffy. She turned up back at mum and dad's house as nowhere else to live and the next thing she's wearing a barrister's wig in court.

I like her though and the highlight of many an episode is seeing her fab outfits.
Go DeeDee 😘

Heliotroper · 12/09/2023 12:14

I am surprised her new lawyer friend's first question was not "If you worked on LA why are you in a sump like this?"

I guess his discretion proves that he fancies her.

JMSA · 13/09/2023 18:27

Eliza is so babyish and is treated accordingly.
She's supposed to be in S1 (Year 8) and has a sparkly unicorn overnight bag. I work in a high school and you'd be crucified for that Grin

greengreengrass25 · 13/09/2023 19:22

Yes and so unpleasant to Stu

Mind you his daughter and ex wife were also horrid so it must have rubbed off on her
