A couple of episodes behind but when de fook are they going to get rid of Stephen? It's a bloody stupid storyline and I can't stand the character.

And in the last few months it has all been about someone upsetting him then "Will Stephen kill XYZ" on the cover of those soap magazines in the supermarket

I gave up buying magazines yonks ago for that simple reason.

I think Stephen will attempt to murder Jenny by pushing her down the Rovers’ staircase and then flee to Canada. Jenny will survive and tell everyone, the police will find out he’s fled and it will prompt an international manhunt. Gabriella will hide Stephen in her basement, but Stephen will lose his temper with her and attempt to murder her, too. A fight will break out and Gabriella will clobber him over the head with a large bottle of maple syrup, leaving him bleeding out with his eyes wide open. She will contact the police who will turn up on horseback in lovely uniform and she will play the hero. The residents of the Cobbles will hear the news and say, ‘By ‘eck, always thought he was a wrong ‘un’ or ‘Not our Stephen!’ and we won’t hear about him again for another 10 years. The end.

Funnily enough, @CyanCrystalViolet, I can imagine having an anxiety dream about ArStephen fleeing the Canadian Mounted Police through the snowy tundra while he's wearing a massive pink nipper-snapper and bleeding out of his eyes.

I think I know what the Corrie production team is trying to do with Paul, Ryan and others: to run a thread through narratives of bodily changes, resistance and acceptance, and explore some complex ideas around these; but either their writers aren't up to it, or aren't being allowed to be up to it because they aren't in control of the editing and scene-shifting and it's just a mess.

Was anyone else hoping that Paul and the vicar would be pulled under by a creature of the pond never to be seen again?

I found that watery scene with Prayerhands Billy and Paul quite cringe worthy. When the time sadly comes for some ashes to be scattered that may be the very place.
Not sure how much Stephen swindled from Audrey but he's promised Sarah he'll repay it. We all know he won't so how much danger will Sarah be in? Does anyone care?
