mad4mybaby · 26/02/2008 21:43

yes!!! ds aged 20 months who loves watching ANYTHING on tele will walk away when it comes on!

bigwombat · 26/02/2008 21:45

yes! It is unbelievably dire!

lizandlulu · 26/02/2008 21:49

i saw the woman last week jumping about in high heeled shoes. its just not normal

freaky kids tv if you ask me

imaginewittynamehere · 27/02/2008 13:09

Glad it's not me - I had to switch over after the ridiculous high heel jumping - dd cried as she is a cbeebies addict no matter how bad it is - the girl just has no taste unlike mad4mybaby's ds!!

I'm finding the most worrying thing about this show is that ds always smiles when the trailer comes on and calls Carrie and David mum and dad.

imaginewittynamehere · 27/02/2008 14:25

Loc - that really is worrying - although dd calls everyone either mum dad or baby at the moment so I suppose it could happen to me too!!

ladylush · 27/02/2008 14:27

it's the worst thing ever

mumofdjandp · 27/02/2008 20:06

my son loveeeeeeeees it but then he is music mad

LynetteScavo · 27/02/2008 20:08

My four year old loves this.

Carrie and David need to get a grip.

Don't they have a DC? I think they have made this series purely for their own child.

MozzybearBaileysIce · 27/02/2008 20:11

Yeah, it seems to be on everytime you switch to cbeebies... or the advert is.

CrushWithEyeliner · 27/02/2008 20:14

THANK YOU

i was saying this yest and everyone loved it - i think it is painful

meemar · 27/02/2008 20:15

Well I like it.
So there

llynnnn · 27/02/2008 20:16

yep rubbish!! dd (a complete telly addict ) even refuses to watch it!!

When they first started showing the trailer i thought it was a good idea for a music show, but carrie and david are just strange!!!

itsahardknocklife · 27/02/2008 20:28

I like it and my DS who is 16 months likes it too. He dances in front of the TV when it is on

nct73 · 27/02/2008 20:37

yep the high heeled jumping is just wrong. it is truly awful but LO was bouncing away but she will dance to ANY music - is particularly fond on the breakfast news tune.

dilbertina · 27/02/2008 20:40

hate it, hate it. Even they look embarassed doing it. They are not natural child entertainers by any means.

itsahardknocklife · 27/02/2008 21:45

that's true, nct73 - my son does also really like the This Morning theme tune!

Let's remember they probably aren't doing it for the good of children everywhere - they are doing for the cash.

Tutter · 27/02/2008 21:46

2.9yo ds1 loves it, absolutely loves it

oliviaelanasmum · 27/02/2008 21:49

My girls all love it but im makes me squirm especially when they talk to the viewer, and as for the poncy dancing dont get me started!

itsahardknocklife · 27/02/2008 21:53

yes their acting isn't the best, but that adds to my enjoyment - hilarious

choosyfloosy · 27/02/2008 21:58

i can't really watch it but i have to say i have found myself singing one of the songs ever since. tbh i am grateful for any show on cbeebies that ds will still watch because i am scared of cbbc

itsahardknocklife · 27/02/2008 22:00

And the website is great! You can hear some of the songs and watch a cartoon Carrie and David dance. I only wish the cartoon version of Carrie would bounce like on the TV. It makes me giggle!

Maidamess · 27/02/2008 22:01

I can't bear it! The kids in the audience look bored out of their minds, watching those two middle aged wannabees cavorting (and miming, badly) .

I don't doubt they can sing, but what is the point of the programme?

Are the children suppsed to know who they are? How many 5 years olds watch Fame Academy anyway?

Thankyou for starting this thread. I've been wanting to get that little lot off my mind for a long time!

TheMadHouse · 28/02/2008 08:31

Well, going against the grain here, but my 2.11 year old loves it and so does his 20 month old brother.

IMO - anything to do with music and rythem is fine. I dont have to watch it to and anyway it is at the perfect time for me to get their dinner dished up and cooled

THe songs are catchy

itsahardknocklife · 28/02/2008 08:33

I agree. I end up singing them to myself later on
[sings]...I'm warming up my voice, I'm warming up my voice...
