well, the squonkettes are firmly in the "THIS IS THE BEST THING ON TV" camp.

ds absolutely adores it.

even dp likes it.

I wouldn't know, as I'm always stuck in the kitchen cooking tea when it's on, but anything that keeps them quiet and out of the oven at 5.00pm gets my vote.

I was all prepared to hate this, but I actually liked it - it's very good preparation for GCSE music believe it or not, as it is writing music for a purpose (which is one of the marking criteria for the composition element) - so it's a great idea, showing how there is a 'brief' and then fulfilling it. And I also like that they start with one idea and then build on it. And the fact that they are actually singers really helps, as so many of these types of programmes (I'm thinking Razzle Dazzle and Songmaker) are excruciating on account of the singing and tuning!
