It's all just gone a bit odd, episode 6 could have been done and dusted in 20 minutes and the next one (Cheri in the desert), just felt like a time filler, a bit like when a long running series does a musical episode. I'm persevering, but I can see why HC doesn't want to do any more

The showrunners also messed up Cirri's first kill - in the books she is found in the desert by that group or mercenaries/bounty hunters & she's with them for a while. They are horrible to her, teasing her with food & water, threatening her etc hence by the time she's in that bar bit & the Rats arrive, she's much more feral & intent on revenge. In the show it's just, oh they found her & next thing she's disembowelling the guy - it's a much longer draw in the book to show her turning into Falka.

& if the showrunners think they can just parachute Hemsworth into Geralt & carry on the storyline without any change, they're dreaming!

I think I'll still to the game, books & season 1.

Also, why has noone noticed that the guy who used to shag Yennifer back when she was uggo has disappeared along with the book on monoliths that was REALLY IMPORTANT but now hasn't been mentioned?

I would like it if someone clever on YouTube could reedit season 1 into chronological order. Then I could watch it without all the annoying time jumps.

Over all I wasn’t very impressed. The desert scenes were too long and purposeless in places. The writing wasn’t great and the set pieces didn’t make up for it. The only episode I thought was cleverly done was the ball at Aretuza when you saw it again with more layers of detail.

I can see why HC has had enough.

I'm glad it's not just me who hasn't got a clue what's going on. First series was great. Sexual tension, monsters and a plot!

Last series has been like watching a totally different show. And whoever is responsible for the continuation should be shot! Yen clearly wasn't wearing her blue contact lenses in one scene and Geralt had terrible facial injuries in one scene, none in the next (I honestly thought that his healed face was to show that time had passed) and then all facial injuries back in the next scene! Just dreadful.

No idea what's going on and need some monsters!

Season one doesn't really have time jumps as such, more one story told from the beginning and one told in reverse.

I downloaded S3 yo watch on holiday. I’ll persevere but OMG im at the Aretuza ball and just not interested really. The only really good thing is HC, and as others have pointed out he’s only half invested.

I think I might go play Wild Hunt on the Xbox again. I adored that game.

I didn't mind the way season 1 unfolded, plus it was much better quality. I just think it needed a few more monster of the week episodes rather than ciri related story.

I've only just finished the last few episodes. So poor. I thought they were gearing up for a healing spell that would change the way geralt looks (little bit like Yennifers transformation) but it looks like they'll just swap out the two actors.

I don't think I'll watch s4, not just because hc is leaving! I spend half the episodes feeling like I've missed one, the world building is shit also. Characters seem to hop around (geralt from Aretuza to the forest) so quickly which makes it feel disjointed.

That's another thing that is annoying. I've not read the books or played the games - they should put a bloody map up!

You can't keep banging on about northern kingdoms and southern kingdoms and have characters hopping all over the joint without at least a bit of shepherding. It doesn't have to be an Indiana Jones style red line, but cmon, give us a clue.

I'll definitely not bother with S4. It's going to be ages away anyway, what with the writers' and actors' strikes, so I'll have definitely lost interest by then. That's if they even bother to go back to it - the viewing figures and ratings for this season were dire, it might not be worth the investment in S4.
