Anyone remember Sunita’s GP in Tenko? She played a collaborator who hoarded food and medicine, a really despicable character. The actor Josephine Welcome was brilliant in it.

I'm all caught up now! I'm very grateful to the person on YouTube who has been uploading all the episodes so it turned out I didn't have to miss any in the end. I've enjoyed immersing myself in the world of Classic Corrie for the last few weeks and I'm a bit sad that I'll have to wait and watch it at the normal pace again now 😂

Catching up on it. I cannot stand the Cilla storyline, she’s vile! Chesney was a good little actor at the time but he’s annoying me and I can’t explain why. I think it’s because he’s trying to oust Janice for his appalling mum. I think we are getting closer and closer to mad Maya and her mad storylines too which were fantastic.

I'm still quite far behind but so excited for this mad maya storyline you've all been talking about. I dont remember it at all. I already think she's crazy!

Poor Sunita. I love her. And Vera, although was shocked by her homophobia.

The storylines were starting to get gritty then. But the nasty people were excellent villians.

So Amy is now 6 months? Dev and sunita are not yet together never mind pregnant with Asda and Aldi, yet in modern corrie aren't Amy and the twins about the same age? Ish?
Times marching on and sunita isn't pregnant yet, at this rate Amy will be starting school before they're born 🤷‍♀️

Vera’s homophobia doesn’t seem right. As a pp said, she has no issues with Hayley. And the character, whilst not particularly “modern”, doesn’t seem the type to be so bigoted.

I understand her being angry about Ivy’s granddaughter being hurt, but not the bigotry.

I'm always way behind and playing catch up as I try to watch Classic EE too and tend to watch a few in one go. One thing I notice is how many times someone is called a slapper!

Liz has just come back - slapper! Leanne back - slapper! Maria, Karen and Candice have recently been called slappers.

I think Sunita was recently too.

Why does Fred still live with Ashley with Claire staying over?

I don't know but I also wonder when the house grew an extra bedroom
When Mavis was selling the house, the Battersby,s came round to have a nosey and i remember them saying Leanne and Toyah would still have to share as there were only two bedrooms
But Ashely told Claires mum ,that there were three bedrooms ,Fred's, Ashley's and Our Joshua,s 🤔

I don't understand how that house is now Sally's house. Structurally they appear to be completely different. Likewise the cab office flat which is now Carla's I believe?

Who is now supposed to be in Sunita's flat?

And Eileen's house can only have two bedrooms as Todd/Jason were sharing a room and taking it in turns to sleep downstairs. So it makes no sense that Sean and Dylan now live there, I presume they're not sharing?
