I am obsessed with the firecrotch and normcore podcast it's amazing! I died of excitement when they read out one of my emails a few weeks ago.

Succession has become like a second job. I am going to be absolutely lost when it is over.

L to the OG is a musical masterpiece and you will never convince me otherwise 🤪🤪 it's on Spotify and I listen to it regularly. As an aside Spotify has many succession playlists and they are incredible.

@soberfabulous omg you had an email read out on Firecrotch and Normcore. I am VERY impressed! I too will have to find something else to fill my days with when Succession has ended. Very unusually for me I was an early adopter and watched it right from the beginning so feel a wierd sense of loyalty/ownership

The Greg? Must be significant in some way.
In Veep, (which Jesse Armstrong wrote a couple of episodes) Richard a bumbling and comical character ends up a successful US President in the final episode.

Yes I know what you mean re. Second job. I listen to at least 3 separate succession podcasts after each episode, read articles, reviews and forums, often rewatch the episode if I have time.
I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself when it's all over, no other current TV show compares at all.

Roman is the most complex and layered character. I initially thought eugh gross but hes probably had the most trauma i actually wonder if hes been sexually abused as a child. He's the only one who got beat by Logan , he is incredibly witty and intelligent. When he is mentally well he performs brilliantly but he's too impulsive and emotionally unstable to ever achieve anything.

No one will "win", succession is like a Greek tragedy or Shakespeare. The winner will be Connor who's been on the sidelines his entire life, no power ,mocked , knows he wasn't loved but accepts his lot in life. He is the winner as he is the most at peace.

I think the new CEO won't be one of the Roy's.

Joking aside: Jeremy Strong is one of the finest actors we have. He is truly breathtaking.

I am enjoying watching it all through again because my son is desperate to catch up because he is living in fear of spoilers.

We just watched the birthday party with Shiv looking decidedly displeased about Tom not going to prison and and son said "I really wish Tom had the balls to double cross Shiv". Had to suppress every facial expression!!!

But I don’t really get why Kerry is such a big deal for Marcia. She and Logan split up because of Rhea, and Logan didn’t start shagging Kerry for sometime after Marcia was “permanently shopping in Milan”, right?

I don’t think Greg will end up on top but I think he will still be hanging in there and everyone else will be fucked.

The dead waiter may come back to haunt Kendal - but I actually think it’s more likely to be the made up numbers for the Living+ thing - that’s a ticking timebomb. Shiv’s put all her eggs in Matson’s basket and he’s going to screw her over. Tom will have a heart attack. Greg will suck up to whoever’s still in the game and keep on grafting.

Within a week of Logan’s death the kids will end up with no company and no money (like, they might drop down to the 0.001% rather than the 0.00001% and may even end up so poor that they have to sometimes fly first class on a scheduled flight [shudder]).

I think Marcia was nice to Kerry because there was no way she was going to be out classed by Caroline! Caroline was being gracious to "her Kerry", so Marcia would have looked less classy if she hadn't done the same.

I found that video on YouTube and watched it last night - absolutely fascinating hearing about everything that goes into directing a scene!!

It was really interesting, wasn't it @chimichangaz ? I loved the fact that they positioned extras in ways to 'kettle' the actors in one space on the boat.
