There has been a massive a storm and play is due to start for the men's final in about half an hour.

The doubles presentation was a bit of a washout.

What was the presentation for Martina?

She was lovely Jane - gave her speech in Italian , and got a gold racquet- but it was the discussion after that was really emotional, because Dani got choked up translating what was said, and explaining how hard it was in the early days as a player coming from where she did. And of course- the same was true for Dani.
Apparently, Martina had a big chat about the with them all during a rain delay the other day.

Ice I think it was just for being Martina - she never actually won in Rome, as far as I could work out! They showed a montage of her at Wimbledon and other places.

That’s sounds nice. Love Martina.

They did say how sad it was she wasn't at Wimbledon last year, when the Centre Court ceremony was held.

Hope fully she will be there this year- and I would like to think they will do something to mark that. I love Martina.

I took the dog out for a quick walk . Still showing RuRu from yesterday, so it must still be raining then.

Bloody weather.

I googled the weather yesterday-and it did say there was rain forecast from around 1- 6. So if ^I could find that- I'm quite sure the people who run the tournament can!
The sensible thing would have been to play both finals early. On different courts. But they were never going to do that, because tickets and money.

So they would rather have people hanging around in the rain...

I don't actually mind who wins- If Daniil wins, he goes ahead of Djok in the rankings, which is always a bonus, and I don't know if the seedings have already been decided for RG or if a win here would affect that.
