I've hardly seen any tennis because I can't get Discovery+ on our tv (at least, not without paying for another subscription, according to DS, which we refuse to do). So limited to watching on phone, which is far from ideal or on the pc, which I can't do because DH is wfh from 7am to 11pm every day

Managed to see the last set of Carlos/Stef - Stef looked a bit stunned by the whole thing so I was glad to see him come back a bit in the third set - he must be thinking that he’s missed his chance now that he’s being overtaken by the young upstarts

Fingers crossed that Carlos can be as devastating against Djok but think that will definitely be a tougher match for him

I also saw Marian’s outfit - yikes - I thought she was going to take off with those sleeves!

Not sure that I’ll get to see much tennis today - RuRu could be good later - potential beef?

kazza I’ve just subscribed to Discovery + for a month (if I remember to cancel!) - it was only £6.99 and I’ve definitely got my money’s worth (I’m from Yorkshire so this is important ) - it is annoying having to keep subscribing to different things though!

Last night's match was stunning - in so many ways. Just didn't expect Stef to be so thoroughly beaten like that in the first two sets - I wonder when he was last thrashed like that? Must have been such a shock for him, but he kept his composure and carried on trying his best, and great third set.

I would love love love Carlos to thrash Jokeovich 💪 That might lessen the ache of Rafa's absence.

kazza, who are watching tennis from on your phone? do you have discovery+? I only have it on my phone, but I have a chrome cast thingy which is plugged into my non-smart telly and that allows me to cast whatever is on my phone onto the telly. It's not massively expensive (about 30 or 40 quid) and means I don't have to squint to watch shows on my phone :) Our workaround for not having a modern smart TV.

i always love watching the oldies though . I swear it's always the same ones though- Bahrami and Leconte are going to still be playing when even Carlos has retired.
