All in all it's a bit of mess.

Oh dear it all sounds a bit of a mess - surely they will have seen the weather forecast and had a contingency plan? They need Tim on the case (maybe he can build them a roof!)

What I can’t understand is why they didn’t start play earlier in the day. The pattern all tournament has been that the rain gets worse in the late afternoon and evening. I get that there are TV schedules to worry about but surely that’s better than the farce of one finalist having to play two matches in one day while their opponent gets a rest.

If the weather clears they should definitely try to get both matches going.

Thanks for the Lake District recommendations Fizzy. We’re staying in the north of the area, near Bassenthwaite. Ambleside sounds lovely so will definitely try and head there.

Sounds like I haven’t missed much tennis though. They should have come here, it’s been lovely here this afternoon. I’ve been at our local school fete, drinking cider and listening to music in the sunshine!
