I know they've had rain, and that hasn't helped- but again,(like Madrid) the matches are squashed at the end of the tournament- even though it's an extended one. So they won't want to play this in the morning , with the final tomorrow night.

I had no idea the match had finished last night til I saw the scores in the early hours. Last time I looked- it said match suspended ( and it sounded like that was it for day)and I fully expected it to be finished today.

The schedules have been ridiculous again- rain was forecast all week, on and off, it's an out door tournament. Is it not someone's job to plan for that- or do ticket sales at specific times override everything? It's nuts.

I've got to go out this morning and don't know of I will make the start of the Ruud/Rune match. Of the 2 semi finals, it's the one I really want to watch so that's annoying.

I missed the end of the match last night too. I feel a bit sorry for Ostapenko. It seemed like she had the momentum in the second set and the timing of the rain delay was unfortunate. Elena a worthy winner though, what a season she’s having!

I’m looking forward to both semis although I wish the Ru-Ru one was later in the day. It’s lovely weather here, too nice to be indoors watching TV.

I’m just on my way back from a mini adventure in the Lake District - we ended up staying in a shepherds hut by accident (I was sure that I’d booked an actual room in a pub!) which was an interesting experience - I’m now banned from booking any accommodation!

should be back in time for the men’s semis although the weather is gorgeous here as well Ice - I thought that the men’s semis would be either side of the women’s final but they’re both on first - hope the women aren’t being short changed again!

Should be some good matches and hopefully a bit of beef especially between Stef and Danill!

I have made it back in time, for the Ru/Ru match which is good.

Both matches should be good- I do think they will somewhat overshadow the women's final, especially if the weather is still iffy and they overrun.
