THE ARCHERS: does anyone else dislike Will Grundy?

I know he's had a rough time & hasn't actually done anything nasty, but he's really unpleasant isn't he? Smug, & insensitive, & that voice!!! I bet that even if Ed hadn't run off with his wife, Will still wouldn't have given him any of the money.

Or am I being evil & he's actually salt-of-the-earth?

I remember Shula planning to adopt Lizzie's baby but LIzzie having an abortion before they could talk about it. That was sad. (Before Daniel of course)

Spearmint is a proper horse - 16 hands, pedigree etc - but Alice did have a pony before and there was lots of heartsearching about how Turnip (or whatever he was called) would feel when he was supplanted.

It really is a bad idea to look at those cast pictures. Caroline is statuesque, tall, blond beautiful in my mind but not in reality. And I'm shocked that Guy is played by some telly actor that I have seen quite often.
