THE ARCHERS: does anyone else dislike Will Grundy?

I know he's had a rough time & hasn't actually done anything nasty, but he's really unpleasant isn't he? Smug, & insensitive, & that voice!!! I bet that even if Ed hadn't run off with his wife, Will still wouldn't have given him any of the money.

Or am I being evil & he's actually salt-of-the-earth?

I quite like Linda Snell but do get her mixed up with Lillian sometimes.

I can't get past Fallon's name. Always imagine her with big shoulder pads and flicky hair. Is she still shagging Ed?

I still imagine Hayley as Dawn out of the office. Mind you, I cringe at her now, since Mike caught her in the kitchen making Roy a post-shag cup of tea. I think that was when they conceived the baby. It was mortifying.

Actually Robert Snell is OK too (in a slightly wet kind of way - I always cringe at Lyndypops) - I enjoyed his jousting with Jason

Yes Linda is a good one. The actress who plays her looks just as I imagined Linda would look. (Just sneaked a look at the Archers home page. How sad am I ?!)

Tsar I can't go there after I saw a picture of Ruth in RL - she's utterly different from how I imagined her and I don't want any more of my illusions shattered.

How could I have got so out of touch? I used to listen slavishly, and I still catch it a couple of times a week. Guy is dead? The nice old hunting fostering bloke? How did he die? How is Caroline? Guy is dead?

So glad some1 else put off by Kathy story, I felt guilty, 2, but it's put me off listening al2gethr. I just cant undrstand how she's handled it.
I thought mayb Matt would run off w/ Pip -- why is he being nice 2 her?

See this is where radio falls down, so many of them sound the same that without faces we get confused

I'm so glad it's not just me who find the Grundy boys uninspiring. You'd expect more of the progeny of Eddie and Clarrie, somehow. Less whinging.

I don't think Simon Pemberton got Lizzie pregnant-that was another character(before my time).
He had a sort of affair with Shula and he turned violent towards her before then going out with Debbie who he was also violent towards iirc.
I think it's funny that most of the characters are extremely annoying but nevertheless we keep listening to it.
Has anyone seen the Archers forum -the venom directed towards the characters(esp.Rooth) is .

Wose than that. He abandoned her is a service station. they were on their way to Dover to go to France for a romantic weekend. She was up the duff. He bogged off and left her.

She had to phone for someone in her family to comen and pick her up as he'd knobbed off with the car.

He left all sorts of debts and La Bone was out of pocket IIRC
