BBC DOCTORS - No No to Nina but Suni can stay

Thought I’d better start a new thread before today’s episode as the old one was almost full.

At least we’ve got a break from Nina until next week.

Well, this Beechwood storyline is the most unbelievable and annoying load of twaddle. If I became aware that GPs from my surgery were doing this during working hours there would be a complaint into the health board pronto.

As for Kirsty lecturing Al yesterday, how ridiculous. Obnoxious woman.

I do hope the Belville thing is a short lived story and not another Sutton Vale merger type scenario.

I spend so much time on IMDB when I watch things- and it's funny how many times I am convinced I really recognise someone, and it turns out they were in one episode of Cracker about 20 years ago.

Grin

I’m exactly the same, I’ll be convinced that I recognise the person but the only things listed on IMDB are shows I haven’t watched.

Hello, I’ve caught up, but honestly, got to agree with twaddle. The accents and acting from the Kirsty and Nina characters are the absolute pits. Worst I’ve ever seen for main characters and it’s not an especially high bar. All in all, predictable at the moment, especially the private clinic storyline and so, so dull.

ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers · 10/05/2023 10:48

I think the 'private sector storyline.' Is just excuse for Rupert the bear to get back with his annoying ex girlfriend.

HamzasHairnet · 10/05/2023 10:49

I watched Tuesday's episode until Kirsty started telling Al how to treat asthma and I became so enraged I switched off 😂 Yesterday I lasted slightly longer but just cba arsed to endure the whole 30 minutes. I gave up watching Corrie about 6 months ago after having watched it my entire life (in my mid 50s) and Doctors was the only Soap I bothered with. But after the introduction of Kirsty and Nina, I fear I won't be watching for much longer .

EspeciallyDedicated · 10/05/2023 13:13

I'm not going to watch today's I just can't bear this Beechwood thing. @HamzasHairnet (love your name BTW) I also gave up on Corrie after watching it for 30+ years, it was 5 or 6 years ago for me, there was just one too many storyline centred on the Connor clan who never fitted in IMO.

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:36

There does feel like an air of 'self sabotage' around Doctors at the moment. Too many people leaving- and the replacements are putting viewers off in droves. The storylines are worse than usual (and this is Doctors- we're not expecting high art!)- but stop treating us like idiots.

The idea that the entire bunch of staff at my local GP surgery, would be prancing around a local park dressed as squirrels is just ridiculous.

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:48

First performance? How many are they doing?

subsisyodrethwhenlarping · 10/05/2023 13:50

AL as a badger 🙂🙂🙂

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:51

This is so stupid.

subsisyodrethwhenlarping · 10/05/2023 13:50

AL as a badger 🙂🙂🙂

He had to be, didn't he?Grin

AnnieSnap · 10/05/2023 13:52

It’s the time prattling about that grates on me. It’s not remotely realistic for any health centre staff to be busy with their work. Personal life covered out of hours is entirely appropriate, but the daily abandonment of NHS work is making it virtually unwatchable for me!

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:53

Nina wrote all this, did she?

LIZS · 10/05/2023 13:54

Omg, who dreamt up this subplot!

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:55

I don't really blame Al for being fed up with Kirsty still.

And 'more kids' Nina? Maybe they are at school.

Like you should be at work!

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:56

Great, glueing yourself to a tree.

So Luca and Zara are oblvious to the fact no-one is coming.

Raahh · 10/05/2023 13:59

Tree Glue girl has a point. Dressing up is probably not going to get them far.

LIZS · 10/05/2023 14:00

No press coverage? Letherbridge Gazette or Emma's radio contacts.

Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:00

See it again?!

MadisonAvenue · 10/05/2023 14:00

This is like something off CBeebies.

OP posts:
Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:02

I am surprised someone as sensible as Jimmi is having anything to with this?

And are Luca and Zara still sitting in the woods?

Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:03

Nina is a great GP-

'your hand might burn off, but I've got to do this performance first'

Hmm
Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:06

Oh Zara.

Grin
Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:07

Zara has gone off script Grin

Raahh · 10/05/2023 14:08

Is there a special shop you can go to for 'eco warrior chic' ?
