BBC DOCTORS - No No to Nina but Suni can stay

Thought I’d better start a new thread before today’s episode as the old one was almost full.

At least we’ve got a break from Nina until next week.

I did wonder whether the scriptwriters had been trolling him with pro-vaccination stories, as the actor is loudly anti-vax IRL (possibly Covid denier or conspiracy theorist? Not sure)

I didn’t know that. Wonder what’s going to happen to Zara and Joe.

I'm waiting for them to 'change' Joe- or maybe we will never see him again.

Other soaps have cast culls quite regularly- but they tend to have a much bigger cast to start with. It will be interesting to see how the show goes with 3 long term actors leaving within months of each other.

The fact they have drafted in some replacements that have not exactly gone down well, won't help. Nina and Kirsty have been two of the worst new additions for a while - and we'd only just got rid of Princess!

Someone on a Doctors Facebook page visited the set while she was in the area today and she met some of the cast. I think they’re filming for the Autumn at the moment and she posted a photo with Sid and a group photo with Scarlet, Kirsty, Suni and Ollie but the lad’s smiling and I’m not sure we’ve seen Ollie smile so I’m not 100% certain it’s him 😂
She also showed pics of reserved parking spaces for Rob, Al, Jimmi, Ruhma and Nina (sorry 😳).

How will they write Daniel out do we think? I don’t see how we can have another sudden death so soon after Karen, Zara and Daniel are very loved up so for one of them to have an affair to cause a split seems implausible, so I’m thinking is Zara leaving as well but we just don’t know it yet?

Maybe Daniel’s mid-life crisis will manifest in a sudden desire to throw off the privileges of life in Letherbridge and find his true path as a roving vaccinator in rural Africa. Izzy will join him once she’s failed all her exams.

Zara will insist she’s going with them, but Scarlett will find her weeping outside the charity shop, having failed to part with her collection of Jimmy Choos. (Scarlett will nevertheless pop into the charity shop to offload a bagful of hideous acrylic jumpers). So a heartbroken but well-shod Zara will stay, with Scarlett as her new lodger, and Joe will disappear off to boarding school for a while before reappearing as a dashingly handsome student at the University of Letherbridge.

That actually sounds like a pretty plausible Doctors plot! 😄

Daniel's gone off at short notice to look after his mother or something hasn't he? Has she been mentioned in the past, before my time? Do we know where she lives.

I think that unlike Eve, she's going to need more attention and Daniel sees no option but to move nearer, or in with, her. There'll be some proposition of Zaniel relocating and starting a new life, with Daniel going on ahead. We'll hear them talk on the phone now and then about their exciting plans, but just as we find out that Zara's getting cold feet, we'll also discover that Daniel's been tempted to play away again. Turmoil and chaos result as Zara tries to stabilise her personal life and her workload at The Mill.

I think Daniel has visited his mother before- he may even have gone to 'work' near her for a while when the actor was on an extended break(might be making that up)- she lives abroad somewhere, iirc- but I can't remember where. I want to say Spain. Or Australia. Not much difference

I agree it will end up being a 'Daniel rang last night/Joe's off to stay wit his dad' thign, and he will get a mention every so often.

Emma was only with Howard for about 5 minutes, it hardly compares with Rob and Karen.
