Thought I’d better start a new thread before today’s episode as the old one was almost full.

At least we’ve got a break from Nina until next week.

The funeral will be odd if Jack isn't there, I noticed upthread someone said that the actor has relocated to Oz (or NZ)

I'd rather they skipped the funeral rather than badly explain away the absence of characters like Jack or Valerie who would never be absent from Karen's funeral. But I guess suspending belief and accepting plot holes is part of what's expected from a Doctor's viewer 🤦‍♀️😂

The trouble with episodes like this on soaps, is that usually past characters aren't there. That would seem strange in RL- no extended family/ old friends/ colleagues.

When Eastenders aired 'Dot's' funeral, it was unusual because a number of very long lost characters turned up for it. But I think the fact June Brown had herself died, and it was as much a tribute to her career, as a 'soap' funeral, made it different.

'Jack' has not been back since Karen's amnesia storyline, I don't think. Whereas Immie has, on and off.

I'm expecting an explanation as to why 'Val' won't be there, maybe- because she definitely would have been. in her Badger dress.

x post Guilty yes, it's why when I first saw that the episode was 2 weeks later, i assumed it would be to avoid the massive plot holes.

During 2020/21 and covid restrictions- they would have got away with it, it wouldn't have been odd to have limited numbers. And a face on 'zoom'.
