Thought I’d better start a new thread before today’s episode as the old one was almost full.

At least we’ve got a break from Nina until next week.

I haven’t been on this situation, but I guess funeral directors are on call 24/7

My Dad died at home after a pretty long illness and the funeral director was with us within an hour. Must be a very difficult job.

Immie will probably come back- she's been back a few times over the years.
Can't see Jack coming back though.

Yes, she is- the actress has been back over the years, but 'Jack' never has been.

Nick Woodman played Jack. Doesn't appear to have anything listed on IMDB since 2016, but I've just read he relocated to Australia so thats probably why.

It's going to be difficult for everyone at the Mill- and Nina (who didn't really know her) is about as empathic as the paramedic- she will probably replace Karen with relative. .

Feels wrong calling her Gobby now.

I don't think so- although there was nothing to suggest anywhere (0ther than the episode guides) that Jan was leaving.

Whether he has a long term future , I don't know- but the 'police' storylines are as much a part of the show as the medical ones- so maybe he will stay?

Well, they're really going to have to pull something out of the bag now. Karen was one of my favourite characters.

I still miss Mrs T, Heston and of course Valerie. I'll always miss Valerie. I think Luca's fitted in well, and Bear's ok but I'm a bit so-so about him. Nina and Kirsty are my huge No-No no thank yous. Too early to tell about Suni yet.

Did I see they're getting Rose, the Sutton Vale receptionist, back? or did I imagine that?

Oh I bloody hope not! She was useless. And annoying. Add her to Nina and Kirsty, and I will stop watching.

Luca and Scarlett have been great new additions- Suni could turn out to be ok.

Kirsty, Rich , Ollie and Nina need to go. Sharpish.

I must admit, they messed with Karen's character (not always for the better) over the years. I know the head injury changed her- but there were times the writers forgot who she was.
She was the 'light relief' a lot of the time- but I guess Val became that.

There have been loads of changes over the years, and long term characters leave. Heston leaving was a big one for me. I loved Heston. I'm glad Mrs T was given a 'happy' ending in Weatherfield.
