The Our Girl Addicts Thread 67 Stay focused, Stay alert, Stay alive and carry on....spying

We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are currently nearing the end of series 4 of Spooks but have agreed to take a short break after this series to go back to our first love - Our Girl and the consensus was to view series 2. Please join in if either Spooks or Our Girl grab your attention.

Smurf has a real attitude problem. I wonder if anyone could have sussed before now that he isn't the right person to be on a tour like this.

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2023 21:25

Our first glimpse of Sohail.

I sometimes think I could do with one of those organisers hung around my chest. I'm always losing things in my handbag.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:27

Must be really scary on your first patrol. They must be expecting something to happen and some of the idiots want action.

eejittwo · 03/05/2023 21:28

In a way, Smurf was an early version of Cheese.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:29

Molly shows some good insight and CJ is finally a little bit impressed and speaks to her a friendlier tone of voice. She shows good judgment over Smurf.

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:30

Molly had the right idea of Smurf not being in the right frame of mind and CJ wasn't very smart about listening to her worries

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:32

That's a scary bit of info, knowing you are the target.

Delphin · 03/05/2023 21:32

Smurf empties a whole magazine at that compound....

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2023 21:32

It must be scary, even after months of training, to be under fire like that for the first time.

Smurf lies about seeing something and provides cover for Molly.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:34

They are full of themselves. CJ is not impressed.

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:34

What have we just learned

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:35

Oh blister time

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:35

Well, perhaps we can now see why CJ is such a bad mood. I'd be crotchety with feet like that.

Meanwhile, he presses her for what really happened just now.

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:36

What stuff are you dealing with CJ,,,hmmm!

Ilovelblue · 03/05/2023 21:36

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:34

What have we just learned

We had somebody on here in the heyday of watching the first series who did some voice thingummies (whatever they were called) and I had "What have we just learned" as my morning alarm wake up for months.

Oh now Molly is being a bit soft about Smurf

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:36

Ah, he smiled at her for the first time.

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:37

I remember that ilove and I think there other phrases that were use on mobiles. So many catch phrases in this series. Never matched in any of the others

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:37

Parcel time. The lads are rotten to her. Interesting to see what Belinda thinks Molly will need in Afghan.

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:38

Yes I love the idea of sending a bottle of nail varnish

Rhubarb01 · 03/05/2023 21:39

Don't you just hate Smurf when he stands there saying "if the cap fits!"

Magi84 · 03/05/2023 21:39

Instead of taking notice of what CJ says Smurf is ranting on at Molly. More evidence he is not in a good place mentally

Delphin · 03/05/2023 21:40

And Choccy... rather send gummibears?
