We started to follow Our Girl back in 2014 and although there will be no further series, we do revisit from time to time. We have watched all seven series of Soldier Soldier to keep up our military terminology and have galloped through all three series of The Musketeers. There was a definite connection between Our Girl and The Musketeers in the delightful form of Luke Pasqualino. We are currently nearing the end of series 4 of Spooks but have agreed to take a short break after this series to go back to our first love - Our Girl and the consensus was to view series 2. What more can the man do to save her? I suppose he could have not involved her and refused to take her to the graduation ceremony, but it was a dramatic way to stop her marrying the wrong man.

Which makes the start of series 3 utterly unbelievable. I remember being worried by the solemn music that he didn’t survive.

I was very relieved when he turned up in series 3, even though the storylines were weak.

Yes, I do agree that it started with them still somehow at loggerheads, which seemed wrong, but at the very end of this series when she goes back to the refugee camp, she implies that she's going to go her own way now and doesn't intend to settle down. I'm not sure quite what their relationship would have been, but having her seem so anti Elvis wasn't somehow right.

Here's the unbelievable bit when Mum and Dad suddenly say everything is ok and they understand...how long did that take?

I wonder if she sold both of her wedding dresses on eBay?

Back to a Wednesday viewing for the start of series 1 - 3 May I make that?
