how does Lala come across in the Randall doc?

@lostinfusion shes not in it. Her mum and bro are. I think I remember her saying on her podcast that she chose not to be involved because anything she said could cause issues in her custody case.

I need to start a new subscription to watch the Randall Scandal. But I want to cancel after 1 month so which will I get the most use from? Hulu or Disney+?

Lala’s in it a few times, but only being interviewed on other podcasts. I don’t think I learned much more about him, although he was just an absolute a-hole to his assistants. I really don’t understand how Lala could have stayed with him for so long or how she had a child with him; he is just so unappealing! I would have been appalled if my daughter had brought him home, but thankfully my daughter has no such ambitions to be famous to the exclusion of anything else.

also she openly admitted that they used to play act the casting couch and he gave her a car after their first night. I mean FFS they are all huge red flags

I haven't watched this yet but wasn't/isn't he a movie producer which is how he got his money? So he wasn't really a nobody. I can't imagine what attracted Lala to him but she knew what she was doing. Though I think Lala is pretty nasty so maybe my view is tainted.

😂I can’t stand the way she constantly talks about men in such graphic detail. Does she not realise that her daughter will see this? Strangely enough Scheana was the one with the most ‘tarnished reputation’ when the series started and now she seems to be the most ‘respectable’. I’m not quite sure why I’m still watching it, I can’t think of any of the cast that I actually like!

@Umanresources same! I've been watching for a while and I think I don't like any of them now. In fact I think I like Schwartz even though he's always been quite wet. I feel sorry for him, Katie seems to be a massive pain in the ass even though they're divorced.

I think Katy has been a complete bully and a cow in the past. But I also think that this season she was absolutely in the right to say please no relationships in the friend group because she knew that she’d have to talk about it on camera.

i genuinely think the sad thing is if Sandoval wasn’t around, Katy and Schwartz stood a chance. But as long as it was the two toms, Katy always stood a distant third, especially as Sandoval would actively try to undermine Katy at every single possibility

@twoandcooplease i think Bethenny knows very little about the situation so it makes it a bit difficult for her to do a decent interview. Raquel is very much 'I'm sorry but...' They both really invalidate Ariana's feelings as though she had no right to be extremely hurt and lash out verbally on the reunion. They also both seem to think Raquel has had to deal with far worse than Sandoval. Just my take though.

The novelty of the scandal has worn off completely from listening to that. So much about the production of the show and how things were all smoke and mirrors really. No real friendships and lots of blame

However, I'm not happy she's been thrown under the bus and hasn't made any money for the story in comparison to Sandoval (I don't know if she's made any money at all from scandoval) I hate how it is a man's world

Also, I was quite upset thinking if I was her, when she spoke about getting a screenshot of a screen recording from Ariana of her masturbating. That horrible little worm recorded her in an intimate moment - why? Why did he record.... disgusting. It is obvious he would use this as power if she didn't cease and desist first and make it clear she didn't consent. Ugh I really hate how the world

@twoandcooplease yes I agree with all you have said. I think Ariana's feelings were valid and the idea that there were no real friendships seems like a stretch. But also you are right in that Scandoval's reasons for recording it will have been to hold it against her later on.

I only managed to listen to 20 mins before giving up. Bethenny seems to have no idea what happened, and is using Rachel more than anyone else because she has a grudge against Bravo.

There should be no "I'm sorry but..." it should just be "i'm sorry".

I think Rachel was hugely manipulated by Tom Sandoval but I disagree that she's taken more of a brunt than he has - he had to beg people to not hurt his business, his shows are full of people chanting for his ex, he's being slated by everyone on every TV show/podcast - I think the abuse has been pretty equal personally.

But I also think that she's hugely trying to paint herself as a victim. Whether she was "best friends" or just "friends" with Ariana, the fact still remains that she chose to embark on a relationship with someone who had been in a committed relationship for almost a decade, and she was friends/work colleagues with that person's long time partner. You cannot justify that. You cannot.

I think Ariana/Katy and even Lala are very canny business people - knowing how to turn around merch so quick is why they made money. Rachel could have done the same.

I disagree where she's blaming Bravo saying the show manipulated her into having an affair. How does that make sense when NONE of it was caught on camera and it only came to light after they had stopped filming? You can't blame the producers for deciding to bump uglies with a worm with a mustache

RE the screen recording, the strange thing is if you take a screen grab of a facetime/zoom, the other people get notifications to say it's happening. So I'm not sure how Tom did it without her knowledge....

I've listened to all 3 parts and I agree with everything you said @thebellagio .

Firstly I just want to say that I really like Betherny Frankel. RHNYC is not the same without her. In my eyes, she nade that show.
BUT
Listening to her during that interview made me boil.
Eveything she accused Bravo of doing or the other cast mates of doing - she did herself.

She's a massive hypocrite. Betheny has said some really nasty stuff on RHNYC and some serious unfounded accusations, especially during reunion shows.
Bethannys self awareness is really lacking

But the most ironic thing is Bethenny complaining Bravo and cast mates exploiting Rachel, when surely she herself is exploiting Rachel? (Unless she has paid Rachel a lot of money to do this interview)
