@jay55

Have you tried Parenthood (the show, not the movie)? There's lots of cast crossover with FNL.

And, as a bonus, for Gilmore Girls fans, has Lauren Graham playing one of the central characters. It's a top comfort watch.

I haven’t but will have a nose!

jay55 · 28/02/2023 16:34

I watched Parenthood yes, and About a boy which was a Jason Katims show too.

Wishimaywishimight · 28/02/2023 17:05

Not going out - but only up until Lee and Lucy got together!

Oh I might give death in paradise a go !

Just stick with it when they replace Detectives, as they do so every few seasons

TeaMistress · 28/02/2023 18:15

Scandal
The West Wing

fruitandfibreg · 28/02/2023 18:21

Where are you watching desperate housewives!?

Mines the US office. I was one of those people who stopped on the first episode because it was so terrible. Went back a few years later and basically watched it on repeat (minus the first few episodes) for years now!

xanthippe8 · 28/02/2023 18:51

Mum, Gone Fishing and Detectorists. Sorry. that's three.

Criminal Minds. The new season is a lot less cosy, alas.

Also The West Wing and Friday Night Lights, which tie for Best TV Series Ever Made.

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/02/2023 19:48

I recently discovered The Repair Shop. It's very comfort-y and there are loads of epsodes on iplayer

Leighton25 · 28/02/2023 20:09

New Girl - just did a rewatch and now I go back and cherry pick my favourites.

Gavin and Stacey - probably do the rewatch once a year.

Friends - a classic.

Big Bang theory - OH and I watched a lot of it during DD's baby years. Just such easy watching.

DaphneLilithMaris · 01/03/2023 20:19

I’ve just finished watching the complete series’ of Cheers followed by Frasier. There are a lot of references in Frasier to things that happened in Cheers, plus a few cameos. Some episodes very ‘of their time’ but some bloody good writing and acting too.

Need something new now!

BigMandysBookClub · 01/03/2023 22:37

This Country
Detectorists
Gone Fishing (I like angling programmes!)
Gardeners World
Red Dwarf
Digging for Britain
Simon Reeve's stuff
James may used to do a programme where he fixed stuff that was good.
