Yes , it's on a Saturday night with Mo Gilligan as the presenter , instead of a Tuesday or a Wednesday! No idea why.
Harry Styles, Lizzo , Wet leg , Stormzy amongst others will be ( miming) or even singing with , maybe , some controversial musings not seen since Mick Fleetwood and Sam Fox presented it in the 80s ! Will I know any of them ? A few , maybe , but not the actual songs.
I'm sure Mr Styles will win a few. Harry's house isn't a bad album tbf, although I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea.
Music isn't like it was in ' my day'. Of course ..

Oh a few months yet and Masked Singer ends next weekend. There must be another terrible music show in between somewhere.

Not watching, but have seen the red carpet outfits on BBC news. Oh my, its like someone nicked the costumes from Blade Runner or the Fifth Element.

If I had woken up in hospital and looked at that page again, I would have come to the conclusion I had been in a coma for the last 200 years.

Oh I wish I'd thought to come on MN whilst I was watching it. When Mo messed up Lewis' name, I immediately thought of Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood but my teens are too young to get the reference Grin And too cool to watch the Brits apparently because they all disappeared and I ended up watching it on my own Grin
I like Mo but he wasn't right for this. I wondered if the producers told him to chat to all the people comfortable with live presenting ie Roman, Laura, Maya, Joel - in the hope one of them would say something entertaining in the 'chatting to the audience' section. Sadly, they didn't. But they were more natural than the other table chats.

I thought it was a pretty decent version. But then, it's a grower. I think it annoyed me the first few times I heard it, but radio 6 tend to beat you into submission with their chosen ones.

I really like Wet Legs music, I have to say. But I think theyre a wee bit old for being absolutely wasted when receiving an award. Reminded me of my uni days. I liked Stormzy and Mo, that young girl Cat, Wet Leg and I liked that people older than me like David Guetta and Norman Cook are still out ther having fun. Not a Harry Styles fan but he seemed a decent chap for doing the shout-out. My teens cgaf about the Brits, even though one of them loves Dave and that other rap guy with cee in it. 12y old liked everyone pretty much though even he was saying 'oh bore off Harry' by the end.

This is why I think the Brits would be better off either not going out live or managing their expectations a lot better in terms of staging various artists performances... all the crappy chat that Mo was doing in the audience was just pure time filling with mostly Z list celebs eg Leigh Francis, Laura Whitmore etc so that they could wheel out plants, cars and other claptrap aswell as huge choirs, and probably why they had 'technical' difficulties towards the end. I would have preferred longer ads than having to watch all that crap.
