I’ll start it then.

Will he return to heap more misery on Scarlet?

who was she in Brookie??

Jessie Shadwick

Raahh · 09/03/2023 14:02

I do remember her from 'Surgical Spirit' too.

Raahh · 09/03/2023 14:02

So, Gobby isn't cooking Grin

KilledByWitches · 09/03/2023 14:04

This is her fourth appearance in Doctors as four different characters.

IkBenDeMol · 09/03/2023 14:04

Yes - that's her. the mother of the guy who ended up as a surgeon on Holby. And Jennifer Ellison's gran.

Remember now.

Binglebong · 09/03/2023 14:05

Climbing through the windows?!

KilledByWitches · 09/03/2023 14:06

Ahh financial abuse from the daughter then.

IkBenDeMol · 09/03/2023 14:06

And Al giving relationship advice is a bit rich.

Binglebong · 09/03/2023 14:09

Was this cinema filmed during social distancing?

Raahh · 09/03/2023 14:13

Bingle doesn't look a very popular film, does it?

Mind you, 30 year ago, I used to go to the cinema during the day on my own - it was always empty. Grin.

Well that was a blah episode.

But no Nina- so yay!

It was another weird one.

LIZS · 09/03/2023 14:15

Al to the rescue!

ICrunchCrispsNotNumbers · 11/03/2023 16:35

Still didn't like the last episode. It just seems like all the episodes have no plot line recently.

And I'm getting REALLY bored of Kirsty and Rich's marriage woes.

Not to mention Jamie and his faithful limpet, Luca.

Raahh · 11/03/2023 16:44

ICrunch It does feel like there are a lot of filler episodes- also, the whole explosion thing has been forgotten about- one episode about counselling- and it's all in the past. Just a means to introduce Nina.

Several of them could have died. But no-one is suffering flashbacks, or possible PTSD - everyone is fine. Hmm

And the whole Kirsty marriage thing is really dull. I have no interest in her life at all- and that doesn't help when Doctors is about the staff, not actually medical stuff. Grin

Talking of Brookside, I've been watching it on the stv player from episode one. It drops five episodes per week on a Wednesday. (Currently up to episode forty)
It's very gritty and I'm enjoying it (mostly..the St Patrick's Day episode wasn't to my liking, too much worker's union and redundancy talk)
It's free to air.. I'm not their pr person 😂

EspeciallyDetermined · 12/03/2023 09:27

I loved Brookside apart from the last few years when the gangster storylines became ridiculous. So many brilliant actors, gritty storylines, heartbreaking tales.

Raahh · 13/03/2023 13:45

Afternoon all.

Horrible wet afternoon here. I have spent my morning very productively catching up on programmes I didn't watch last night (there are always so many clashes on a Sunday nightGrin).

Still no Nina in the credits...

Raahh · 13/03/2023 13:48

I don't know who picks out Scarlett's wardrobe.

Binglebong · 13/03/2023 13:48

Hello lovelies. Suni still makes me shudder. creep.

doctorsnoddy · 13/03/2023 13:48

Afternoon. Just back from braving the wind walking the dog

KilledByWitches · 13/03/2023 13:49

A quid on bloke wanting a son so not bonding with daughter.

Raahh · 13/03/2023 13:49

I'm sure Sid will have a lot of insight into being a new father.

Raahh · 13/03/2023 13:51

doctors I walked my dog this morning in sideways rain. He was unimpressed. Grin

doctorsnoddy · 13/03/2023 13:52

Nina won't like him flirting with Scarlett!

Raahh · 13/03/2023 13:52

My mother used to have wallpaper like Scarlett's trouser's I knew I recognised it. It was a William Morris print Grin
