Yes certainly they should have taken up references- I would have thought checking they are actually doctors is so basic that it's a no brainier they'd do this. I'm amazed they have let Nina bulldoze them. She could be a mega fraudster for all they know!

Well given the news a woman was recently convicted for faking doctor qualifications for about 20 years I'm not convinced reference checking is as thorough as it should be.

Maybe Suni will be massively embarrassed by Nina's behaviour and nepotism? She could have presented it to him that the practice desperately wanted to empty him and wouldn't let her be partner otherwise. Clutching at straws that he won't be as annoying as her.

I wish they hadn't bothered with the whole explosion, avoided the whole Nina thing and I'd even have let them keep Brian.

I watched one Nina episode last night (the one where she quits her committee, and Al gets involved with a true crime blog). It was absolute dross. Then the episode numbers on Sky Q are all over the place, ep25 recorded several times, gaps, other repeats. The last time it got messy it was because I had accidentally set it to record on BBC1 and BBC1HD, but I sorted that all out.

I'd have kept Brian too if we could get rid of Kirsty and Nina.

Especially That was a terrible episode. Honestly, I don't know what the writers are thinking at the moment.

I understand needing a new receptionist, now Val has gone, - doesn't need to be an annoying one, and we don't need to have a huge family drama attached - not from day one. They could have eased her in a bit.

The storyline with Zaniel wanting to step back from the partnership- no problem with that- but Nina forcing her way in after a chance meeting in a bathroom and then bringing her son in- well, it's all just daft.

And then there's the added fact that both Kirsty and Nina are terrible characters/actors with hideous accents and mannerisms. it's just too much.

Reading comments on FB, neither character are well liked.

Whoever is in charge of casting the show wants sacking, frankly. There have been far too many lousy additions over the past year or so.

Luca and Scarlett are the exceptions.

And Luca is really irritating me, chafing after Jamie all the time. It's so daft too, Jamie falling out with Luca about his HIV diagnosis and storming out one episode, then suddenly by the next episode them being best friends again like nothing happened. It's just not realistic at all.

ICrunch it's true they have messed about with Luca's character since bringing him back from his 'trip'- I really liked him when he started- a few 'issue' storylines, but I liked the 'lighthearted' bits they had with him, and mostly , his character seemed ok.

Recently, they don't seem to know what to do with him. He never seemed the type before to be quite so needy so the whole chasing Jamie storyline has been a bit odd. I imagined he would just forget about him, really, and move on. He also doesn't seem the type who would lie about the HIV stuff- even though we know about the fact he is low risk etc - I think he would still be upfront about it.

I'm still about why Suni is in already in the credits and Nina isn't.

I'm hoping this is a good sign.

My point exactly, @Raahh. Emma isn't exactly helping matters, encouraging Luca to go back to Jamie. I do wish that Luca would stop messing around with Jamie and move on. They just don't seem on the same page somehow.
