Watched all 3 episodes of Scotland’s Biggest Families. Much better than the Radfords, it actually showed real life and their daily struggles/issues.

I didn’t warm at all to Ben Sullivan, who freely admits to wanting to be a social media star and give up work. He’s constantly going on about “we want to make videos to share with other people” – No Ben, you want to make money off the backs of your children, who don’t have a choice in the matter (same as Noel & Sue Radford in that respect). I felt sorry for Zoe, all her recent pregnancies have been very high risk and she’s suffered from PND. Ben very much came across as being in charge, I bet he’s got a temper too.

I liked Roy & Emma Hann, they both seemed genuinely nice people. Really pleased that they have finally given up on their crazy religion, but what a heartbreaking video to see teenage Emma, in her mum’s Sunday dress, with her baby that she was forced to have adopted. And then living for years with such unhappiness and low self esteem, being told by her church that she was damaged goods. Wonderful to see her on the demo standing up for women’s rights and safety. Finally she’s not just someone’s wife or mum!

Great to see Emma really enjoying working, and admitting that she didn’t love being a SAHM for all those years. And them both at that conference telling the truth about Mormon family life, and going out for a drink!
