Apologies if there is another thread but starting one for the beginning of the show!!

I had only watched T&D’s ‘Let’s face the music and dance’ routine (from Lillehammer?) earlier today and I’m sure there was at least one move from that in Nile & Olivia’s tonight.

Playing catch up so sorry if been mentioned but did anyone notice the lack of clapping and screaming??

I found it absolutely wonderful. I was getting to the stage of stopping watching it cos of the noise

Didn’t care for the judges and the wrong person went.

Thoughts so far:

I thought last week was odd - from what I saw Carly barely skated on her own at all yet everyone was fawning over what a great routine it was yet others get lambasted for the same. Ok so she picked it up this week but it still struck me as odd.

Ekin-Su just irritates me...it's completely irrational but I think it's just her name! She seems completely vapid and has no substance at all. Never watch Love Island so maybe there is more to her.

Sad to see Michelle go and I think the lack of a skate off was unfair. Maybe time constraints?

Irritated during the Tina Turner bit that they kept focussing the camera on the singer's face rather than the skating (not that the singer wasn't great but I wanted to see the routine)

Comedian guy - I forget his name - could be a dark horse and I love his partner!

Shame Frankie doesn't seem to be doing it this year. I don't keep up with the gossip though so apologies if I've missed something.

@MyGhastIsFlabbered Frankie Seaman (Poultney) hasn’t done DOI since 2014 - is that who you mean? She wasn’t asked back when it restarted in 2018.

@MyGhastIsFlabbered You mean Darren the comedian, yes I like him. He is skating with Tippy who was paired up with Kye the BMX guy last year and they did rather well, I think they went out semi final stage. I like her.

Gosh that shows how far out of the loop I've been doesn't it!!

Distracted by her hideous makeup. And her nerves really showed on her face which is unusual for such a professional performer.

It was little stop start and slow in places.

Oh god the sob story come out.

It was very beautiful actually. Nice to see a, simple skate without all the fancy lifts and tricks.

It was lovely but they have let him off easy this week.

Lovely slow waltz that generally needs to be in hold so virtually no skating not holding on to her.

Seems unfair compared to Charley's Samba.
