New thread for new series

obviously all this has happened in the past year

they would have been better filming this as it happened and showing it

as we have seen all their trips on Facebook and instagram if on it

E 1 - Chloe’s pregnancy takes a worrying turn

The bragging is winding everyone up though isn't it. Especially as people are struggling.

4thtimeunlucky · 14/01/2023 19:04

I don't know what the demographic of their followers on Instagram etc is, but I wouldn't have thought multiple annual holidays to Disney/Maldives/New York were within budget for the average person- even with an average number of children (eg 2 or 3) so how does the advertising work?
How many people have been inspired to go and buy a motorhome because they've seen the Radfords have got one?

JustKeepSlimming · 14/01/2023 20:23

I wonder how much spare cash they actually have. So much stuff is gifted - possibly even the holidays. I wonder whether they actually have much money, or are we just seeing them working their way through freebies?

Abracadabra12345 · 14/01/2023 21:28

What kind of house do they live in? I just wondered how many close neighbours they have because I'd not want to live near such a big and busy family and all the dogs and the tv crew and whatnot

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2023 21:31

A semi

apparently an older couple live next door tho why they would want a 10 bed house is beyond me

maybe they want to sell

maybe no one would buy it next door to them

I wouldn’t lol

it wouidnt be a peaceful garden

I’ve just watched it.
I don’t understand why the older boy should get the biggest room on his own. When some of the younger kids have 4 sharing in a smaller room. Why wouldn’t he go into a smaller room but have that room to himself, and the little ones share the bigger room? Makes no sense.

Next door is split into three flats. She's explained it in a previous episode. I think one flat has an older chap/couple in it.

After watching them be a bit more 'natural' on their YouTube vlogs I can't get over how horrendously scripted the tv programme is!! I find it very hard to believe that Millie wouldn't have told them she was moving out (I thought she lived with the boyfriends family with her children) or that a member of the camera crew wouldn't have reminded the teenagers to pick up the cash as they were leaving for Asda! The bit about buying the motor home without Noel knowing...surely they would have both needed to sign contracts if the money was coming out of their joint account or they were setting up car finance!

SpongepantsSquareBob · 15/01/2023 23:06

Bit like watching neighbours except worse acting. The best bit was the narrator saying Sue was always looking to turn whinging into an educational moment.

I don't believe any of it is 'natural wholesome family stuff' anymore, just all product placement and sponsorship deals.
Don't believe they're selling the house either, its just all content now. But if they did, I hope the rooms are better.

Jas5mum · 16/01/2023 00:08

Firstly, I thought we were here to talk about the actual TV show not just everyone slagging them off.
My issue with the TV show is how everything is now set up and the timeline isn't in order. Like tonight when the sofas arrived the motorhome was already there but the next bit was sue buying it!? And the pool wasnt there which they got in ep.1. It would be more realistic to do it in realtime. Say what month it is then show what they did in that month. They went to Florida in easter holidays but they didn't film it so they went again in the summer so it could be filmed.
A lot of their big spending is obviously related to when they get paid for the TV show.
I prefer following on YouTube as its more natural. I find the show funny in parts as they've obviously been told to react(act) to stuff they already knew about. E.g. noel not liking the motorhome.
They do work hard as just doing the washing and food shop and organising that many people is hard work. I have 5 kids and struggle to remember everything we're doing without calendars/lists and wall charts!

I think its because all the younger kids are on the same floor as their parents and this room was in the basement. Obviously if they needed them in the night they wouldn't hear them calling.

Jas5mum · 16/01/2023 00:13

They did start looking at land to build on but haven't mentioned anything about it in probably 6months....

Sumthingsweet · 16/01/2023 00:54

I think both Noel and Sue grew up in foster care , it seems as though they are trying to fill a void . A family life they never had . They are not on benefits or asking for help if they are making money off the interest I guess good luck to them . I do feel that something not right with their obsession to have more and more children , I do understand that having always wanted more but the health risks ? How much attention can you give to all 22 I just don’t know maybe they have a lot of patience . Really intrigued and I guess that’s why so many people watch equally interested

4thtimeunlucky · 16/01/2023 07:26

I'm pretty sure they were both adopted, I don't think they grew up in care

They have been getting child benefit for years though. Even if they no longer get it they will still have received an absolute fortune over the years.

At one time they definitely got tax credits as they admitted they did.

Also they have cost the country a fortune in health costs, education costs, dental costs etc. A birth with no problems costs the NHS in the region of £10,000. She has had 22 births. Add that up

They didn’t grow up in foster care, they were both adopted as babies into loving families.

Plus the council housing for ALL their grown up children!!
Millie got a bloody house on the programme last night - she’s 20 years old!! No working or mortgage for her, just gets up the duff with a couple of different scallywags and gets a 2 bed house!!
With all that money they fritter away on holidays, hot tubs, motor homes etc you think they’d set their kids up with a deposit for a flat or something. But why would they when the kids can push out a couple of babies and get a place for nothing 😡

It's disgusting that the council give the girl a house when the family have that amount of money to waste on holidays, camper vans etc.

Is there no waiting list where they live?

Dental costs? Sadly it looks like none of those poor children have seen a dentist :0

PenelopeTitsDrop3121 · 16/01/2023 11:47

That's great!! Spend 90 grand on a motor home but won't use the money to help their children onto the property ladder.

Can't imagine them being too worried about not getting to the kids as they used to remove the door handles from the little ones bedrooms so that they couldn't leave their rooms after bedtime.

Hopefully you're right though and they've realised what a stupid and dangerous thing they were doing and are now more safety conscious.

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 16/01/2023 13:15

Yes and on last nights one they put the kids in the camper van for a sleepover then left them and went back in the house Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2023 13:39

Agree no way Millie wouldn’t have told them she was moving out

and how did she afford rent on a 2 bed house and buy furniture etx without bank of mum ans dad

or it’s a council house and rent paid till they go to school and has to get a job or has another one

is she with cheaters dad still

and yes the money left behind. Really ? So false

and buying a camper van. Actually paid for it ? Not free or blogged flogged

£90k. Omfg

i do think older kids should have a room
to theirselves and oldest should have it

tho who was he sharing with - do they now have a room To their selves

agree shame it’s isn’t filmed in order and see things happen as they should do

they mentioned ages ago about buying a plot of land and building a house

didn’t know next door was 3 flats. I had missed that
