Martin and Shirley is an amazing shout. I didn't think they were quite good enough to be professional singers though.

Kit Harrington would be an excellent casting, and definitely fits the "my name was a catchphrase clue". He's had a rough time with mental health/substance abuse so it would be nice to see him having silly fun. Jon Snow also died and got better which fits the phoenix name. His DC is only a toddler though, so a bit young for the "doing it for my kids" motivation.

Kit is 5 foot 8 but Phoenix is as tall as Joel

I have totally been waiting for Martin and/or Roman Kemp to turn up in one of these shows. But I don't think that was Martin. He really isn't a good singer. We'll see....

Just a point to remember re heights. Joel D isn't all that tall.

Joel is 5’10” - or as he puts it: “6 of your English foots, including hair and heels” 😂

David Tennant is 5.11 and Phoenix and Joel looked the same height

Listen to their swing duet album, Martin is better than you think (and sings quite 'americanised') - and in the Masked Singer performance, Mouse did all the really good vocal work anyway.

Cat and mouse - Emma Bunton and Jade too obvious. I was thinking one of the podcast couples - John Richardson and Lucy or the Ramsays.
Phoenix has me puzzled too - I was thinking Matt Lucas. Or Christopher Eccleston or Stephen Mulhern but I can't recall either of the latter two singing and surely if you had a voice that good you'd have been caught on camera singing at some point?

Basically, I haven't got a clue and if it turns out to be any of my guesses I'll be properly shocked!

I'm late to this thread but I'm convinced that Jellyfish is one of the women who were in Hear'Say. The riddle clue said something like 'children should be seen and not heard, but for me the opposite is true'...
I'm thinking Suzanne Shaw but might have a listen to Kym Marsh singing (pretty sure it's not Myleene as her voice doesn't fit).

I should write down my thoughts as i watch it but from memory -

Cat and Mouse - Imelda Staunton and husband Jim Carter (Downton Abbey)
Phoenix - I initially thought Matt Lucas but they look much taller than him. There was mention of reincarnation and rising from the ashes, could it possibly be a previous contestant, maybe one whom the public thought left too early? Definitely someone tall.
Like others, I also thought I heard Kate Bush's voice and Judi Dench!

Otter is Debra Stephenson doing a Kate Bush impersonation (and another singer next time).

I watched his TikTok and it did sound exactly like Claire. It was weird as it sounded so different to the voice I heard on the actual show! From watching H's TikTok there's no doubt it is Claire.
