I used to love this programme when it was out in the early 00's, I thought they all looked so glam and the houses so fancy.

Well I've discovered it again and it's soo dated! Everyone is smoking all the time, and in side! Tanya is shovelling so much gear up her nose at every opportunity and the acting is shocking...that said- I'm hooked!

Am I the only one hooked again?

Footballers’ Wives was brilliant. Funny, shocking and with its tongue in its cheek. I’m still amazed they got away with the fake nurse pleasuring herself with the man in the coma. The tanned baby. Nabokov’s Cocoon. Such a god programme.

I am absolutely not watching it whilst working from home. Promise.

I rewatched the whole series during lockdown, and loved it. It's so bad, but so addictive. The smoking is so strange to look at now.

Oh, I used to love it! I was 18 at the time and my boyfriend (now DH), knew NEVER to call between 9-10pm on a Monday night!!!

I utterly loved FW back in the day. There was even a FW book iirc. And none other than Joan Collins made a guest appearance in one storyline.

the actor who played Bruno lives on my town. I bumped into him on a cafe staircase, telling me there were no seats downstairs! And I've seen him in sainsburys a couple of times. He's married to Kirsty who used to be on The Wright Stuff.

I loved this show, will definitely have to rewatch. I can picture Tanya's shaking with rage, it was so good . It was cheesy at the time, I can imagine how awful it will be now.

I have recently rewatched This Life, which was a little earlier than this, that is a show that has also aged badly. Some seriously awful acting from people who have gone on to become quite famous. Also lots of smoking and really weird camera close up shots of mouths for some reason.

I restarted it last night and it is so dated! I wasn’t sure at first but by the end of the first episode hoooked again.

The houses don’t even look that glam in retrospect! The lack of photoshop / plastic surgery was also refreshing, all the characters look fairly ‘normal’.

Remember Chardonnay burnt her tits!
