Anyone else looking forward to this? I've followed them all on social media since the first season, it will be interesting to see what went on behind the scenes.

I fully expect Julia to be her bullying self, but I'm interested to see what Batsheva and Shlomo are up to. They seem to do nothing other than attend their mother's functions.

Same, I follow a couple of them after the first series. Will be watching.

I love Miriam so much, she’s be campaigning to end child marriage, she’s the first woman in her family not to marry in their teens

Omg im loving this season. The drama with Silvio. Like talk about a house of cards falling asunder. Has she any money to fund them all ??? I cant stand Robert but omg having butt surgery and the drains the Pain and recovery was shocking. Silvio is seriously trying to pull the plug on her life style. At 42 she was single and left the community.obvs did she do it with huge input from Silvio.??what is she going to do?the court cases dont seem to be goimg her way .plus employimg natalie. Its the whole just ask Mom thing that gets me !!

I haven't watched any episodes yet, but Silvio was instrumental in her success. He got her the job in La Perla and then when she got together with him he made her partner in Elite. Those that knew Julia before say that she's only showing a very small snapshot of the picture. She certainly wasn't self made and she worked her whole married life as a secondary school teacher. The thing that amazes me the most is how gracious er ex husband and his wife are towards her.
Has anything Ben said about Ben and Batsheva? Is he in this season?

I've just binged watched it all. Ben doesn't feature at all but Batsheva talks about him. I'll wait until you all catch up.

No Ben.Batsheva i loved last season now not so much though fair play to her to detach herself a bit from the silvio drama.they all leech off Mammy big time including their partners. Its v dramatic this season .id say she had to finish the contracted season but must be up to 90 sorting life without silvios money

Re them being spongers, yeah Batsheva, Ben and Shlomo were the worst. Ben had just introduced a 'stylist service' then they split and nothing more was said about that. Shlomo, despite having a law degree appears to do nothing and Batsheva spends 90% of her time getting non surgical face/body adjustments. At least Miriam is trying to forge her own path with her podcast and apps.

Ok, my thoughts.

Batsheva comes across much better this season I thought. Her reasons for divorcing Ben which went without drama sounded really mature, she's trying to carve out her own life and career and they try to show her as cold and not there for Julia with all the shit with Silvio but I could see why. She moved back into her apartment instead of remaining at the penthouse. Julia is her mum, not her best friend which she's constantly trying to be. The squirting chat was soooo inappropriate and I'd be raging too!

Robert's boyfriend I think is a bit of gold digger and he's clearly not comfortable with the 'open' side of it, which Batsheva has cottoned on to.

Aron, even as his mum I would struggle with his views, 15 years old or not.

I don't want to bodyshame but Julia is sooo skinny and her outfits just accentuate it, with the constant hot pants and heels. Silvio is painted to be really bad in this season, probably justified but Julia must be shitting it with regards to money. I do admire her but think it wasn't as simple as going from ultra orthodox oppressed housewife to CEO overnight. There's a whole other side to that story.

@VinoDino thanks for that. What sort of career is Batsheva pursuing? On insta she doesn't seem to have a job other than attending her mum's events.
I personally felt season 1 gave too much focus on Robert, who isn't even part of the family. Do Bat and Shlomo have partners? Also did Julia's ex and his wife feature this time?
After season 1 I did a bit of googling and quite a few of Julia' s old friends had done interviews. They all gave very similar accounts of Julia being very attention seeking and needing to be the one in the room that everyone was looking at. She didn't do a midnight flit either, according to them she left over a period of months and used to regularly attend community events in Monsey even after. She wasn't shunned either apparently, but her friends - who were all working like her - were very hurt that she painted them as trapped housewives with no lives.

Julia looks ridiculous with the fake boobs out all the time- her outfits are too young and revealing withoutbeing atall attractive ! . Oh total gold digger Roberts Boyf as is Natalie. Did you see where she was living in queens ?? And moved into Julias penthouse in Manhattan then asks for a job. Miriam is lovely but YOUNG. Julia dead right to say no way to marriage at her age! Silvio accusing Julia of stealing 1000's .cutting off her work emails. Robert fired. I mean making a newbie chief tech officer in a new startup - MAD . Like they were leading ordinary lives in Monsey and now live like millionaires when her " path" started in Manhattan at 42. Silvio sorted all that as wellas her being good at the job. She is NOT self made no matter how she self praises herself xxxx

@LisaJool Interesting re Julia’s friends. But I’m not surprised as I know a couple of v Orthodox Jewish women who have high flying careers and travel. Although they probably do the majority of the housework, but so do a lot of non-Jewish women.
Silvio made Julia for sure, not that I’m saying he’s a good guy. They’re both awful!!
I like Miriam too, but she’s 21, not much older than my dd who is so immature still when it comes to relationships.
I’ve only seen the first 2 eps of season 2 - looking forward to seeing Aaron, he’s a good kid.

There’s a series two? I’m off to watch it! I found series one compellingly awful viewing!

Clearly we don't know the full story re Silvio and I'm not saying there weren't issues and he didn't behave badly but Julia is totally over involved with her children. Apart from Aaron they're always there. Must be frustrating asa partner to always be surrounded by your partner's adult children.

She was all set to give them jobs at Elite too. I was surprised Batsheva wasn't more angry at the way Julia deliberately kyboshed the yoga deal. Yes Julia made some valid points about the issues with the deal she made but they were good learning points for the future. Telling her to ask for a ridiculous sum of money so the yoga company pulled out and Julia could present another yoga company of her choosing just seemed so controlling and wrong. She won't let her kids stand on their own two feet and she tries so hard all the time to be the 'cool Mum'.

She was very naive regarding her divorce with Silvio though. Did it really not enter her head that it wasn't going to be all amicable especially when according to her she's the one who ended it. It didn't seem particularly amicable when he was moving his stuff out so she was in cloud cuckoo land that there were going to be repercussions with her position at Elite.

Julia's past employees at Elite said she was a complete control freak and treated Silvio like a slave, and that he did anything possible to keep her happy.
I think we can see her controlling side when it comes to her children. They are desperately riding on her coat tails though! I feel sorry for Arron.

Silvio will definitely have a completely different side of the story and whilst he knew she obviously had kids before he married her they are adults, apart from Aron who is only there half the time. It must be hard to be constantly around them. When she called security or whatever she was like 'there's children here', as if they were small kids in danger!

I sort of feel sorry for Aron, he's clearly trying to carve out his own identity and thinks he knows everything (like most 15yr olds!). Julia just wasn't getting through to him.

I love Miriam but her gf is such a gold digger. Moving out of her property in queens and into julia's penthouse. Asking for a job from julia and then even talking about marriage so she can stay in America. Its just makes me feel so uneasy.

I don't think they are together now. Miriam said on an IG story she was single some time ago. Just aswell they didn't get married!

I am watching it now, it's a complete shit show but compulsive Sunday night viewing.

The kids are a bunch of fucking awful brats though. I just think get a proper job and an education you spoilt idiots rather then making TikTok videos and sponging off Mummy. No wonder Silvio was unhappy. You can imagine the SM threads on here if the sexes were reversed.

And it's becoming apparent that Julia basically got her job because she shagged the boss so let's see how that's going to pan out!

When Robert got fired plus some of her team she NEEDED them to basically dance attendance on her in her hour of need but they must have been freaking out employment wise financially etc etc.i mean theres Robert with a great lifestyle and wardrobe just pulled from under him and it was all about her !!! They must have been thinking is this a sinking ship i need to get off????
Then they go off to Texas in the RV to his family where he then tells them he has no job and wants to pursue a broadway career as a singer. Am i right in that he financially contributed to the family in Texas ?? I didnt rate his singing at all !!! I doubt he has a stellar career in that. They must get serious dollars outta netflix to be ok with unemployment. I read her credit card was axed in the split aftermath. I cant wait for season 3 .Silvio is a billionaire with serious clout. Shlomo does nothing it seems. Fair play to miriam to pursue college .Batsheva instgram base has low numbers for the USA . Dunno how She is going to forge a career
