Can't see a thread. What is this shite?

Claudia was on Zoe Ball's radio show before it started, and on that she said she didn't get to choose the traitors, the producers did. And there was someone she thought would be amazing but the producers said too obvious.

Maddie is going for Wilf and Aaron because Aaron peaked his upset and walked out after Wilf voted for him. Her reasoning being Aaron was upset that a(nother) traitor had stabbed him in the back. She's got it spot on, but missed Alyssa's face when Wilf said her name.

Wilf said he introduced Alyssa because he'd heard a couple of people mentioning her and needed to deflect attention from him.

Andrea, surely. Didn't everyone initially think the sweet lady in her 70s would be fabulous as a secret killer?

MendaciousMabel · 09/12/2022 20:02

Just caught up on the last couple of episodes today.

Haven't liked Will ever since he went on in episode 1 about how he's great at manipulation because of his job. It really put me off. I don't see how Alyssa being found out means he isn't a traitor in the eyes of most of the group left.

Looking forward to seeing how it plays out though.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/12/2022 20:03

I've watched 3 episodes I think and it doesn't really grip me as something that needs approx 12 episodes. It doesn't seem binge able to catch up, does it get more intense?

JaneJeffer · 09/12/2022 20:08

Yes @Mouldyfoodhelp the more you watch the better it gets because you get to know the contestants more. I was going to give up after the first but now I'm hooked.

It needs some time for dynamics to form and strategies to start up. Although I liked it from the off.

Do people think Alex will accept the invitation?

QuestionsFromThePublic · 09/12/2022 20:17

Will is a snake, Amanda will take him down.

Alex will say yes and then gang up against Will. I don't want her to win. She was let off lying about her boyf too easy.

They all gotta come back at some point.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/12/2022 20:19

Has that Alex boyfriend left yet? Seems a bit unfair and they also haven't been hiding that they know eachother well from what I've seen?

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 09/12/2022 20:30

Do people think Alex will accept the invitation?

I don't know. I think she might do it to find out who the other traitors are and to maybe get revenge on others for Tom.

EdieLedwell · 09/12/2022 20:32

To answer whoever asked if Alyssa is ok. She's fine. She did some press in here today.

She's on social media too and seems all good

Is she able to say anything about how it’s filmed @EdieLedwell, or is she obliged to keep quiet about everything until the series is over?

ILookAtTheFloor · 09/12/2022 21:05

I know of someone on this show through work. It was filmed over the summer and they are sworn to secrecy about it. They had lots of psych tests before getting on.

EdieLedwell · 09/12/2022 21:07

@QueenOfThorns she said a bit about the strategy the Traitors had, and that she was absolutely blindsided by Wilf's betrayal.

She also said she was starting to crumble under the stress of it all knew she'd be caught.

EarthFireAirWater · 09/12/2022 21:24

ReneBumsWombats · 09/12/2022 15:50

surely if he was a traitor he would never vote for one of his own?!

That's literally the definition of a traitor!

Well, yes, but for the purpose of the game I guess the faithfuls believe the traitors are sticking together backing each other up.... apart from Maddy since she is convinced Wilf betrayed Aaron by voting him.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/12/2022 21:35

I'm back watching and on episode 4 where they've revealed they're a couple I don't like the boyfriend

Mouldyfoodhelp · 09/12/2022 21:37

Oh and not to keep bringing up old episodes but having ago at Aaron for being emotional and crying and emtioning Wilfred crying and then( I think ) Jon cries the next morning getting emotional

HalleLouja · 09/12/2022 21:58

My daughter and I are gripped. We can’t believe we have to wait until next Wednesday.

ReneBumsWombats · 09/12/2022 22:10

<<wails>>

Wednesday??? I thought it was Tuesday and that was bad enough!

I haven't felt like this since waiting for the next Harry Potter books to come out!

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 09/12/2022 22:12

I did, thank you! What’s your last sentence mean?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 09/12/2022 22:13

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday next week, just googled

It means she was featured in the media in Ireland I would presume

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 09/12/2022 22:17

Of course!

Penguinsaregreat · 09/12/2022 22:20

I find it fascinating, similar to the first ever Big Brother. I remember being horrified on learning that Nick Bateman had lied about having a dead girlfriend and how Craig and the other guy (sorry can’t remember his name) became overnight heros for calling him out about his lies.
Back to the traitors. I think Amanda is doing so well because she does not fit the stereotype of a backstabber/traitor. I think, in general, most people assume it will be a younger male. Not an older female, and definitely not a mother!
Call me a cynic but I would put Estate Agents at the very top of the pile for lying effortlessly. However this shows how little these younger people and men know about parenting. The constant lies parents tell, and let’s face it it is mothers who do the vast majority of parenting. 99% of mothers are lying to their own children right now. Elf on the Shelf anyone? Father Christmas. Let’s not forget the Easter Bunny or the Toothfairy. Lies about how great a child is at X and Y. I’m not saying this is wrong but what I am saying is Amanda does it so effortlessly because she is so used to doing it and nobody ever considers how much mothers lie. We all expect the ruthless CEO to be a lying so and so.
As for all this talk about ‘I’ve got a phychology degree so I know all the signs that someone is lying.’ What absolute tosh. People constantly get away with lying just look at the Tinder Swindler.
Look at The Serpent. Look at our own government.
The faithfuls have so little to go on.
As for the revealing of votes I agree with the poster upthread who said they must film lots and lots of reveals and then show the best one as it were.
I also agree that at this moment it’s not just about the money. It’s important for all of them to be seen as telling the truth. That’s why they get so upset when they are accused of being a Traitor. They don’t want that stigma which is why they take great pride in revealing they are in-fact A Faithful.

EdieLedwell · 09/12/2022 22:59

@Peasepuddingbloodycold that should have read "here in Ireland" 😅

EdieLedwell · 09/12/2022 23:01

Did anyone see the trailer? There's a potential huge spoiler in there so I won't comment unless everyone has seen it.
