Can't see a thread. What is this shite?

OP posts:

I loved it. It was great that it was a diverse mix of people rather than hot young people obsessed about how they look. DH was hooked and he never watches reality TV. We found it really amusing.

burnoutbabe · 29/11/2022 22:51

It's sort of like the mole (new on netlix)

But there the mole was sabotaging from the start so you could try and guess who it was from the start. Here we, the audience knows, and no idea how the faithful are supposed to guess who it is.

burnoutbabe · 29/11/2022 22:52

Make traitor reminds me of Daniel mays (line of duty and robot cop on sky)

MissMarpleRocks · 29/11/2022 23:04

I like it. Makes a change from the football 😁

WhatsitWiggle · 29/11/2022 23:16

It took a little while to get going - ditching two people as soon as they'd arrived was harsh - but I'm invested now.

BogRollBOGOF · 29/11/2022 23:17

Is it Hot Fuzz meets Among Us?

I just tried a Google image search but results don't look very promising

I mean the one she was wearing towards the beginning. Sort of tweedy. Although I think there was a cool black shiny one later.

MajesticWhine · 30/11/2022 00:23

DD has found it (the tweed one)
But which jacket did you mean @StopTalkingAndListen ?

Walkingtheplank · 30/11/2022 00:32

I'll be really annoyed if they get rid of the older lady (Andrea?) first. Some of the tasks might require a brain.
I hope they plump for Ayesha who aptly described herself as Marmite.

VerityFab74 · 30/11/2022 01:09

Who thinks their single rooms are in the local travel lodge ?
I have watched episodes 2 and 3 on the IPlayer definitely gets better. The way people guess and don’t trust or do trust is fascinating.

The male traitor reminds me of someone. Who is it?

Daniel Mayes?

Adultchildofelderlyparents · 30/11/2022 01:34

I wanted to hate this and I did hate it for most of the first episode, but I ended up watching the first three episodes on iplayer and now I'm a bit more invested.
They have deliberately picked (casted) particular types of people to act up which I find irritating.
I'm wondering where about a they are, where they are able to accommodate all of them in separate accommodation - they said they are all staying separately so that no one can see who comes back late or is missing.
Also wondering when the "murder" victim finds out? They leave that castle when the clock strikes 11pm (or midnight?), then the traitors meet and discuss. But the victims are seen finding a letter on a chair, so that must not happen until the next morning.
I'm enjoying the psychological drama of watching them all analysing each other but struggling to see how it works as you get nearer the end. They will probably end up voting randomly as there'll be nothing identifiable to pick one off against another.
Also already thinking this is a one-series hit. Once I've seen the format unfolding I can't imagine watching this again with new people.
Interesting concept though.

JustDanceAddict · 30/11/2022 08:54

I quite liked it, a bit different from the usual reality TV type shoes. Def more of a diverse cast.
i was shocked at the two guys going at the start. Harsh!

shumway · 30/11/2022 11:10

Was hoping this would be good but it was like a kids programme.

Daniel Mayes- that’s it.

DonttouchthatLarry · 30/11/2022 19:47

I'm sure I've seen the couple (well definitely the woman, Alex) on something else - a reality show or maybe contestants on a game show. Anyone else recognise her?

Walkingtheplank · 30/11/2022 21:13

She said she was an actress/influencer.

Walkingtheplank · 30/11/2022 21:14

I recognise a couple of others who live relatively locally.

Yes - it reminds me of The Mole.
I’ve just watched Ep1, which I enjoyed. Now straight on to Ep2.

MajesticWhine · 30/11/2022 21:49

Poor old Imran is for it isn't he.

burnoutbabe · 30/11/2022 22:20

I would have killed Aaron as he accused Inhram so that adds weight to him being the traitor, sensibly clearing out who accused him.

Which may be far too obvious but also at this stage they have no real clues to go on.
