I just rewatched the whole lot a few weeks ago when I had covid, I love it. Julia is my favourite, she's the one I most identify with, but I love Anna Maxwell-Martin in anything.

I want to punch Kevin right in his simpering mouth every episode. And I can't stand Meg.

I was watching series 3 in the night last night and just thinking how utterly brilliant it is. They're all fantastic actors. My mother thinks I'm just like Julia (and my mum's just like hers tbf)

I loved Joanna Lumley as Amanda’s mum in S3. Inspired casting.

And Sonia-off-of-EastEnders was in it too, barely recognisable.

Anna Maxwell-Martin is great in everything. Loved her in Line of Duty also. She never puts a foot wrong.

Our whole family knows every word of every series - we’ve watched them that many times! - although (somewhat bizarrely) my 13-year-old son is definitely the biggest fan. It’s such a comfort watch. The best written and best well-observed comedy ever! The brilliant actors completely inhabit the characters - they are so totally believable. CAN-NOT-WAIT for the Christmas episode and we are all keeping everything crossed for a new series!!

I recently spotted Tanya Moody (Meg) as a DI in an episode of Silent Witness from 2007. She looked quite different but I recognised her voice first. It took me a while to work out where I knew it from.
