The dialogue includes several languages but you can select audio / subtitle preference; I've gone for the actors' original voices with English subtitles.

Omg this is so weird. Yet I am hooked. On E5. The first 2 episodes were quite slow.

Just searched 1899 on Twitter and it got cancelled 3 days ago.

Yeah I'm not surprised it was cancelled tbh. Not a patch on Dark. If I hadn't known it was by the same people who created Dark I probably wouldn't have stuck it out until the end.

Also, Aneurin Barnard is lush but if you hear him speak in real life, not so much. He has a bit of a David Beckham voice shall we say 😬

It was too slow and un-engaging for a first season. Lots of people here myself included stopped watching by the 3rd episode.
