Why are people so desperate to defend BG?

I was one who didn't like the thread title. I wasn't whining or moaning about it, just said I didn't like it.

I've since tried to move the conversation on and chat inanely about the celebrities but it keeps being brought back to this.

Honestly it feels like the biggest bullies on this thread are those pertaining to not like George and the 'other bullies' in camp. Pretty horrible.

If anyone does want to set up another thread where we can discuss a TV programme and respect that people will like people we don't like, without name calling, then I'll join that thread.

Also I think with MH people just want to keep I'm a celeb a bit lighthearted. Otherwise it becomes impossible to watch if we have to discuss politics every night and MH/the tory government's fuck ups. We just want to watch celebs eat kangaroo peni. His presence will only ruin the show if we have to keep rehashing the same political points every night.

Im ok with getting wound up about things that matter, like how our country is allowed to be run by these people because we have people who think these are "nice" people after allowing his kids to see him fumbling a woman in a room whilst married to their mum, proper gent he is. Such low standards for yourselves.

But then hypercritically be the first to be giving out advice on red flags and how we shouldn't allow men to feel entitled and get away with this behaviour towards women, you know, in the real world.

CW looked a little put out to be doing the trial but I'm sure she'll smash it after her 45 minutes on the high plank.

CM looked SO relieved. Looks like the British public does have a bit of kindness afterall.

@Miss03852 I think CW will do well. I'm not a fan of hers but she was brill in the first episode walking the plank, & is a strong woman, so I think she'll smash it, especially as there are 2 of them and she's not alone.

Why is that horrible? It's I'm a celeb, every year there's people we dont like? No ones attacking them personally, it's a chat thread about I'm a celeb, not bullying. It's okay to dislike people

There has been no disrespect towards people who like BG. But equally people are allowed to dislike him on a reality TV show

I completely agree with what you've just posted @CarPoor , it's the constant calling out of other posters and attacking them on this thread that I find horrible.

They fell out after CM went on holiday with Comedy Daves ex wife soon after they'd seperated. Apparently it was platonic but Comedy Dave obviously wasn't best pleased

I didn't know that and I'm usually good with celeb gossip. I remember Comedy Dave's wedding so clearly as I married my husband just a short while later!

I always join these threads every year but avoided this year as was unsure on some of the camp mates.
I’ve finally decided to have a read and join and they just seem so petty. Can’t everyone just draw a line now and accept people have different opinions and keep it light hearted.
Yes some people in there have done things that we don’t agree on but it’s happened and they are in camp. We can’t change it so why all the arguing about it?

Its ok, i can manage a discussion without a coronary and they have, they have said mat hancock is nice.
Im simply showing the hypocrisy of that, when in another thread they would be shouting from the rafters how his behaviour is entitled and a disgrace against women, now hes nice though, surely you can see that.

MT don’t understand why he’s in it. Wealthy, inappropriate and he’s adding nothing.
BG I find irritating and I think will be voted out in the first batch
Charlene knew the gig and is being selfish over the bed RV and will be out
Sue it could go either way
Chris isn’t adding much to the programme and will be out early
Sean the laugh is very irritating and will follow
Jill is pleasant and will move through
Babba similar
Owen similar
Scarlette is the only one with personality, gumption and get go. Winner perhaps?

It will be interesting as to who is first out. Morally it should be MH but will it?
