Chris brings up a good point. We have heard a lot of Mh leaving parliament in the lurch but what about his constituency? The amount of posts on mumsnet where the advice is write to your MP but what of your MP has buggered off to OZ to appear on a reality show.

MH is supposed to be working on behalf of his constituents. He should not be on a fucking reality programme

MH I think is handling well so far. I get the impression he has good self awareness, so knows there would be a lot of hate questions when he entered the jungle

What this might do is expose the number of politicians who swan off on holiday or paid engagements while they're supposed to be working. My DH once went to a work conference overseas only to find our MP was guest speaker (while parliament was sitting). He took a fat fee and spent 3 days in the sunshine enjoying free booze and food. There's a lot of them at it. Johnson was on holiday in the Caribbean when he came back to pitch his hat in for PM recently.
